1. Privilege of First Tee
Captain shall be allowed privilege of the first tee except in competitions.
2. Standing Tee Reservations
Monday & Wednesday – Curlews
9.30-10.30am tee-off from 5th yellow tees unless stated excluding Bank Holidays
and agreed fixtures.
Thursday and Saturdays - Ladies
Summer Season: 1 April – 31 October Thursdays - (9.04 am – 10.24 am) and
Saturday 9.28 am and 12 noon.
Winter Season: 1 Nov – 31 March (9.26 am – 10.22 am) – Thursdays only.
Juniors
Saturday (1 April – 31 October): 1.28 pm to 1.44 pm
Priority of the First Tee
During the Playing Season, priority of the First Tee has been granted on a
Monday evening between 5.30 pm and 8 pm to Juniors participating in the Club’s
Junior Coaching Programme which may also involve heavy usage of the ‘bottom
four holes’ (i.e. 1st-4th inclusive)
3. Captain and Professional Competition
In addition to the following fixtures the Captain and Professional will compete
with members in a four ball better ball Stableford event (from the 5th tee) each
Tuesday, light permitting, teeing off with effect from 2.00 pm from 9th April 2019
to 10th September 2019 (inclusive).
4. Gents Competitions
Competitors enter competitions by way of affixing their own name on the
appropriate competition entry sheet(s) to be retained in the Professional’s
shop, they must on the day of the competition book in with the starter in the
Professional’s shop at least 15 minutes before their tee-off time. Competitors
must play at starting times given, this can only be changed exceptionally with
the approval of the official starter, if scratching from the competition for genuine
reasons the official starter (Club Professional Tel. 016977 2000) must be informed
at least one hour before tee-off time.
Default will, in normal circumstances mean disqualification for the next
three competitions following investigation by the Captain and the Hon.
Competition & Handicap Secretary.
With the continuing intention of increasing member participation, Monthly Medal
and Stableford prizes will again be awarded in two categories, with full allowance
of handicap. Categories 0 – 14 handicap (Section 1) and 15-28 handicap (section
2). The number of players in any group may be 2, 3 or 4.
5. Juniors
(i) Juniors aged 16 years or over with a handicap of 28/36 or below and those
aged under 16 years with a handicap of 11 or below can enter senior competitions
including monthly medals although only if playing with a member aged 18 years or
above.
(ii) Restriction on Juniors
Juniors with a handicap over 18 are not allowed to tee-off during the
following periods:
Weekdays 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Weekends and Bank Holidays – Juniors with a handicap of over 18 will
only be allowed to tee-off during the periods of 8.30 am – 10.30 and 12.30
pm – 2.00 pm if playing in the company of an adult member(s) or if
competing in an official club competition.
