(b). Install the thermostat connecting pipe
subassembly and the thermostat
connecting pipe subassembly fixing bolt
(arrow direction), and tighten the bolt with
the torque of 9± 1.4 N•m.

(c). Install the thermostat housing subassembly & water pump unit.
(d). Install the front coolant pipe subassembly (for the longitudinal engine).
(e). Install the front coolant pipe subassembly (for the horizontal engine).

25. Remove the pipe joint
(a). Remove the front coolant pipe subassembly (for the longitudinal engine).
(b). Remove the front coolant pipe subassembly (for the horizontal engine).
(c). Remove the thermostat housing subassembly & water pump unit.

(d). Remove the pipe joint (arrow direction).

26. Check the pipe joint
(a). Check the pipe joint seal ring for wear and breakage; if any, immediately replace it.
(b). Check the pipe joint for scratches, breakage or knock marks; if any, immediately
replace it.
