PRECAUTIONS

1. To avoid personal injuries or damages of electric parts, do observe following
requirements: The control unit may identify and store faults in certain inspections.
Therefore, after all testing and service work are finished, it is required to query the
fault memory, and when necessary, the fault records shall be cleared.
2. When the engine is driven by the starter instead of starting the engine (for example,
when testing the cylinder pressure), the ignition coil connector and fuel injector
connector must be disconnected (or the fuel injector relay and fuse shall be
removed). After the operation, query the fault memory and delete fault records.
3. The battery can be only connected or disconnected when the ignition switch is
turned off; otherwise the engine control unit may be damaged.
