04-372 DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
THE COLD CAR STARTS DIFFICULTLY,THE CAR IS TREMBLED
Fault phenomenon Diagnosis logic Possible reasons
• Poor quality of fuel
• Injector fault
• Injector • Leakage in the intake
04
• Intake system system
• Fuel system • Low fuel pressure
• Coolant temperature sensor • Block in the air filter
• Intake mass flow sensor • Coolant temperature sensor
• Injection timing fault
The cold car starts difficultly,
• Intake heater • Intake mass flow sensor
the car is trembled
• Wrong mixture ratios fault
• Carbon decomposition of • Electronic throttle fault
cylinder valve and inlet • Block in fuel filter
channel • Incorrect injection timing
• Fuel quality • Intake heater fault
• ECM • Too low of the cylinder
compression pressure
• ECM fault
Diagnosis Procedure
1 . Check the engine data
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Connect the diagnosis tool with the fault diagnosis connector (16 pins) on the lower
left of the dashboard.
(c) Ignition switch: ON, and start the diagnostic tool.
(d) Read the motor data shown on the diagnostic tool.
Check whether the data flow is normal or not.
YES>To step 2.
No >Maintenance related faults.
2 . Check battery
(a) Start the engine, check battery voltage.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 3.
No >Charge the battery or replace the battery.
3 . Check the starter
(a) Check whether the starter or the starter circuit has fault.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 4.
No >Eliminate the problem and confirm that the phenomenon no longer exists.
