DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 04-479
No >Maintenance related faults.
13 . Check EGR system
(a) Check whether the EGR system can work properly.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 14. 04
No >Maintenance related faults.
14 . Check the cylinder pressure
(a) Perform the test of cylinder compression pressure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 16.
NO >To step 15.
15 . Check the engine valve timing
(a) Check whether the engine timing gear mark is aligned, damaged or not, the belt is
loose, detaching or not.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 16.
No > Perform the alignment operation of the timing chin or change the timing chain.
16 . Check the motor machinery
(a) Use an endoscope to observe the in-cylinder condition.
(b) Observe and reflect the voltage changes.
(c) Dismantle and repair the motor internal fault.
Clean the carbon or disassemble and check the motor cylinder cover. Check the valve,
intake manifold has carbon deposition. Such as: the gap between the piston ring and
the cylinder is too tightly loosed, cylinder pad leaks, valve tube loose, valve does not
close well, and valve has carbon deposition.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 17.
No >Repair the internal machinery fault of the motor.
17 . Replace ECM
(a) Replace ECM. (Refer to "Chapter 11 Engine control system, Engine control module")
(b) Check the data flow of the engine, and make sure the engine phenomenon does not
exist, the system is normal.
