DIAGNOSIS-LIGHTING SYSTEM 62-357

Diagnosis Procedure
Symptom description：
Turn combination switch to "Left steering" gear or "Right steering" gear, only one side of
steering lamp doesn't turn on, the other side is normal.
△ PROMPT：
Take LF steering lamp as the example, use the same method to check other steering 62
lamps.

1. Check steering lamp bulb

(a). Check if the LR and RR combination lamp steering lamp connectors are loose and
falling off.
(b). Remove the bulb of left and right steering lamp.

(c). Connect the positive and negative
electrode of bulb into the positive
and negative electrode of the battery,
respectively,to check if the bulb will light
up.

Is the result normal?
Yes>To step 2.
No >Replace the bulb.

2. Check The Harness Disconnection

(a). Disconnect body controller C56 and LF combination lamp A28 connector.

(b). Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between No. 9 terminal of connector A28
and No. C4 terminal of connector C56.
Standard resistance: (check whether there
is an open circuit)

Connect the pin by Standard value
multimeter
A28(9) - C56(C4) ≤2Ω
