INSPECTION

1. Check timing chain 1
(a). Visually inspect whether timing chain 1
has cracks and obvious wear or not, if has,
replace it.

2. Check timing chain 2
(a). Visually inspect whether timing chain 2
has cracks and obvious wear or not, if has,
replace it.

3. Check all the chain wheels on the timing
mechanism
(a). Twine the chain on the chain wheel.
(b). Use vernier caliper to measure its diameter.
• If the measured diameter is less than the
specified value, replace the timing chain
and camshaft timing sprocket.
NOTICE:
The two measurement feet of vernier caliper must
cling to the chain pin roller in measurement.
