DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 04-345

THE ENGINE CAN NOT STOP 04

Fault phenomenon Diagnosis logic Possible reasons
                                                  • Key switch or key switch • Key switch or key switch
The engine can not stop circuit circuit fault
                                                  • ECM • ECM fault

                 Diagnosis Procedure

1 . Check the engine data
                 (a) Ignition switch: OFF.
                 (b) Connect the diagnosis tool with the fault diagnosis connector (16 pins) on the lower
                        left of the dashboard.
                 (c) Ignition switch: ON, and start the diagnostic tool.
                 (d) Read the motor data shown on the diagnostic tool.

Check whether the data flow is normal or not.
                 YES>To step 2.
                 No >Maintenance related faults.

2 . Check key switch or key switch circuit
                 (a) Check whether the key switch for is damaged or internal short-circuit.
                 (b) Check whether the key switch circuit is abnormal.
                 Is the inspection result normal?

                 YES>To step 3.
                 No >Maintenance related faults.

                 10 . Replace ECM
                 (a) Replace ECM. (Refer to "Chapter 11 Engine control system, Engine control module")
                 (b) Check the data flow of the engine, and make sure the engine phenomenon does not
                        exist, the system is normal.
