04 ENGINE OIL MIXED WITH FUEL
Fault phenomenon Diagnosis logic Possible reasons
• Engine oil is contaminated
• Engine oil
• High pressure fuel pump
Engine oil mixed with fuel • High pressure fuel pump leakage
• Injector
• Injector leakage
Diagnosis logic
1 . Check the engine data
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Connect the diagnosis tool with the fault diagnosis connector (16 pins) on the lower
left of the dashboard.
(c) Ignition switch: ON, and start the diagnostic tool.
(d) Read the motor data shown on the diagnostic tool.
Check whether the data flow is normal or not.
YES>To step 2.
No >Maintenance related faults.
2 . Check engine oil
(a) Check the quality of engine oil is accord with standard.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 3.
NO> Replace new oil.
3 . Check high pressure fuel pump
(a) Check whether high pressure fuel pump can work normally.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 4.
NO> Repair or replace high pressure fuel pump.
4 . Check the injector
(a) Check whether the injector has phenomenon of leakage.
DANGER
When testing the fuel system:
• Place a note with "Caution: Flammable" in the work area.
• Must work in a well ventilated area and with a carbon dioxide extinguisher.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited when working on the fuel system. Work areas
should be away from open flames and sparks.
• Put the fuel in an explosion proof container.
Is the inspection result normal?
