32-6 REAR SUSPENSION - REAR SHOCK ABSORBER

REAR SHOCK ABSORBER

REPLACEMENT
1 . Lift up the vehicle.

2 . Remove the rear shock absorber

(a) Unscrew the lower mounting bolts of the rear
shock absorber.

(b) Unscrew the upper mounting bolts of the rear
shock absorber.

(c) Remove the rear shock absorber.

3 . Check the shock absorber
(a) Check for leakage in the shock absorber and replace it if needed.
(b) Compress the shock absorber assembly and check the stability of the entire
compression and stretch movements. When the pressure is released, the movement
of the shock absorber shall be steady and continuous, or it means fault in the shock
absorber. Replace it if needed.
