(b) Install the driver airbag assembly onto the
steering wheel.

(c) Check the driver airbag assembly.

WARNING

• Make sure there is no constraint between
the driver airbag and the steering wheel.
• Make sure the gap between the driver
airbag and the steering wheel is
consistent.

(d) Use an allen wrench to tighten 2 hex bolts at
the bottom of the steering wheel, on both
sides.
Torque: 6±1 N·m

7 . Connect battery positive cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20. Start & charge - battery,
replacement")
8 . Connect battery negative cable. (Refer to "Chapter 20. Start & charge - battery,
replacement")
9 . Check air bag indicator light. (If equipped, refer to “Chapter 04. Diagnosis -
airbag system, pre-check”, “Chapter 04. Diagnosis - airbag system, airbag
indicator lamp always on”, “Chapter 04. Diagnosis - airbag system, airbag
indicator lamp always off”)
