DIAGNOSTICS - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM 04-115

(a) Ignition switch: OFF. 04
(b) Disconnect the battery negative cable.
(c) Disconnect intake mass flow sensor connector E07.
(d) Connect the battery negative cable.
(e) Ignition switch: ON.

(f) Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
between the pin 2 of intake mass flow sensor
connector E07 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>To step 4.
No > Maintain or replace the harness.

4 . Check intake mass flow sensor harness

1 . Ignition switch: OFF.
2 . Disconnect the battery negative cable.
3 . Disconnect intake mass flow sensor connector E07.
4 . Disconnect connector E01 of ECM.

(e) Use a multimeter to measure the resistance
between the pin 1, 3, 4 of intake mass flow
sensor connector E07 and the pin 80, 40, 22
of ECM connector E01 respectively.
