INNOVATION DESIGN

.Medical Device Design is a multi-disciplinary one
semester course in which student teams are expected to
deliver an innovative solution for a clinical need working
under the guidance of technology and clinical mentors.
The students go through a process of understanding
disease state fundamentals of the need being addressed,
market analysis and stakeholder analysis. The focus is
primarily on identifying need and coming up with
solution by immersing in real world environments to
capture values and expectations of the target
beneficiaries. The students are encouraged to evaluate
possible solutions by applying multiple filters including
regulatory considerations, markets, Intellectual Property
(IP), business and impact.
