B.Tech. students who are fresh entrants to programme. The
purpose of the course is to orient and excite students in the subject of
engineering and innovation. The primary objective of this course is to
educate students how science and engineering has enormous
impact on our day to day lives and how it can be a vehicle for social
and economic development. The course enlightens students about
the journey of engineering a product/solution as it happens in
industry and elsewhere. The course tries to excite students by
connecting them with potential role models and successful alumni in
                                                 engineering profession.
Product Realisation This is a flagship course offered in the first semester to all 850+

No of students Enrolled = 3800+
No of times the course offered = 9
No of students project carried out = 900+

Product Realization is an experiential learning course offered to all 850+
undergraduate students in their first year of engineering. The purpose of
       this course
       is to:
       1. provide product building experience to students very early in their
           programmes.
       2. provide hands-on experience of building a product in teams to address a
           need.
       3. provide experiential learning opportunity so that students can relate their
           own experience to theoretical concepts.
       4. build confidence among students to take up product design and
innovation projects on their own in future academic sessions.

During the first half of this course, students familiarize themselves with
various prototyping methods, manufacturing machines, tools and processes.
During second half of the course, students build a simple product in teams
       to address a social need.
