What’s Your Musical Genre (Part 2 of 6)
Continued From Part One - May 2021
So during my developmental years I was exposed to and trained in a wide variety of musical types and genres. This formed in me a love of all types of music, and provided a very solid technical musical background from which to compose, and perform music.
I do not usually conform to one particular type or genre of music.

It is funny, but often people struggle with this.
!? After all, many of the performers they are familiar with in the mass media are performing only one particular type of style of
music, they are Rock Stars 🎸 , or Country Singers, 🤠 or Jazz Musicians.🎷
This is an artificial classification, largely aimed at making people easier to market.
All too often our lives are classified, homogenized, stereotyped, by the faceless “suits”. 💼
How many of us, in our real lives, are one dimensional people. We have all been asked:
What do you do?
The expected answer is:
I am a Doctor, or I am a Carpenter, or I work for an airline. OR
I am a Folk Artist.....😘
What if, and I have tried this before, you answer in another way, one that is maybe a little more accurate. After all none of us are simply our vocation.
