Forgive and Forget EARTH

Who is anger to take over our mind?

Why are we blind to Earth’s silent weeps
Battling with emotions, forbidding us to be kind.
Why don’t we realize her pain so deep

What do we attain while negativity overcomes? In the terrain of ignorance we’ve come so far

They’ll never forgive us,the sun and the stars
 When vulgar cries, aggression becomes.
                                      We’ve crossed all limits

Let go of past grudges, for they bring us nothing

but resentment, So much sorrow so much pain
All ‘cause of our power, wasted in vain
Forgive and forget and allow ourselves to be The Earth wreathing with the strain

mirthful and pleasant. Their dreams all shattered and slain

Let go of holding onto outraged feelings and We’ve shattered her spirit

annoyance, Potential minds turned to ignorant brains

Forgive and forget with a heart abundant with Even the sky seems to refrain

joyance. Let’s give back the joy they deserve

And focus not on money, but on the depleting
Why screw our brains, for mistakes keep reserve

happening. Let’s be wise and save the dying light

Forgive and forget for It’s easy to smile rather Then the air will be less poisonous ,humans less

than the anger leading us to maddening. mean

To err is human, to forgive is divine, The world much happier, the oceans clean

One can do miracles, but together we can do
This act of forgiveness is truly sublime. more

Dishita Marathe (IX) Let’s return the smile the earth once wore
Let’s together make our dampened future bright
