INTRODUCTION

This e-book provides information obtained through our academic visit at the Kompleks Kerja Raya 2
(KKR2 Tower) on 14 th November 2019 , regarding the services, maintenance and engineering of the
building. This e-book will pay particular attention to the building background and focusing on the type of
systems used in the building. For example, the water supply system, electrical supply system, fire safety
system, elevator system and greywater system. This e-book will comment on the prospects of the
specific system background, types, advantages, disadvantages and also make recommendations for
some problems or technical issues that have faced. This e-book published by group AP246 4B
(2019/2020) from Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying UiTM Shah Alam, Malaysia.

BACKGROUND OF KOMPLEKS

KERJA RAYA 2 (KKR2 TOWER)

The ‘Kompleks Kerja Raya 2’ (KKR2) located at Jalan Sultan Salahuddin, 50580 Kuala Lumpur with total
of 37 floor level. It is a cooperate office which served as the headquarter of the Ministry of Works of
Malaysia. The tower was built starting from 1 December 2009 and completed on 28 March 2012 with

309,374,000.00 as the built up cost, the tower were built up to 168m in height provided with GFA of 52.271
square meter.
