‘Black Lives Matter’ Campaign Looks For Volunteers
What’s been happening nationally has caught on here in Tampa as local and national organ- izers are looking for volunteers to be a part of the “Black Lives Matter” campaign.
The mission of the campaign is to bring attention to the disparity that exist in the criminal justice system as far as incarcerations are concerned, the failure of law enforcement agencies to not profile individuals by race, and the inability of local and federal governments to take action to change these practices.
A group of people, led by Dwight Bolden, are trying to initiate a forum to address these is- sues and others in an effort to force the hand of elected officials to initiate change or at least sit down and admit there is a problem.
If you are interested in being a part of this volunteer group, call (813) 735-4425.
