Beulah Baptist Institutional Church Salutes Veterans

In honor and appreciation of mil- itary veterans of the United States Armed Forces, Beulah Baptist Insti- tutional Church (BBIC) is hosting a Veterans Day program on Saturday, November 12, beginning at 9:00 a. m. The church is located at 1006 W. Cypress Street in Tampa, FL.
The Honorable B. J. Penn, Sec- retary of the Navy (Acting) Retired, will deliver the keynote address. Penn’s journey began as a seaman recruit when he enlisted in the Navy in 1961. He went on to earn his wings as a naval aviator, served as both the executive officer and com- manding officer of VAQ-33, a Tacti- cal Electronic Warfare Squadron of the U. S. Navy.
Penn also served as air boss on the USS America before becoming
assistant secretary of the Navy for installations and environment (ASN I&E).
BBIC invites veterans throughout Tampa Bay to attend this patriotic event. Following the program, breakfast will be served within the Rev. Dr. A. Leon Lowry Family Cen- ter – Fellowship Hall. This event is free and open to the public. How- ever, veterans and their guests are strongly encouraged to pre-register.
