MRS. SANDRA LOUISE ALVAREZ
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sandra Louise Alvarez, of Tampa, FL, who passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018, will be held on Saturday, July 28th, 11 a. m., at Exciting Faith Alive Church, Rev. Antonio Hawkins, pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Sandra Louise was born January 11, 1954, in St. Augus- tine, FL, to the late Samuel Al- varez and Pearl Dukes. She attended the local schools of Johns County.
She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, travelling and was an excellent seamstress.
She was preceded in death by foster parents, George and Edna Boone; brother, Morris Kidd; and sister, Virdee Boone.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her de- voted children, LaShawnda T. Sanks, David L. Sanks (Malika), and Dayna W. Curry, all of Tampa; grandchildren, Turban J. Glover, David M., Darien J. and Derrick J. Sanks, Symone L. and LaNahsa L. Baker, Imanie J. and Darius J. Williams, George H. and Zha- nia Murray, and Andre M. Lovett; great grandchildren, Zaydan R. MR. CARLTON ALEXANDER LINDSAY
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Carlton Alexander Lindsay, of Tampa, FL, who passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018, will be held Saturday, July 28th at 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Deacon Brenda Lindsay, officiat-
ing.Carlton was born July 29, 1936, to David and Mary Cook- Lindsay in Jamaica. He enjoyed playing and watching cricket games. Carlton was a member of the West Indian Cricket Club of West Tampa. Carlton also en- joyed listening to Reggae music and relaxing with his great grandchildren, daughter, sons, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by: his spouses, Mary H. Lindsay and Rudein Lindsay; parents, David and Mary Cook-Lindsay; son, Garfield Lindsay; niece, Nicky Sterling; aunts and uncles.

MR. ALLAN ATTAWAY PORE
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Allan Attaway Pore of Tampa, FL, who passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 will be held Saturday, July 28th at 2 p. m. at The Center for Manifesta- tion, 3102 E. Lake Ave., Dr. Mark T. Jones, Sr., pastor; Bishop Anthony Williams, pre- siding, with Minister Ebou Howard, eulogist, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Allan “Attaway” Pore was born on January 5, 1958 in Tampa, FL. He attended King High School and upon gradua- tion, enlisted into the U. S. Army. He was a loving and de- voted husband who loved mo- torcycles, sports cars, playing musical instruments, was me- chanically inclined, and a great cook. He was a giving person with a heart for the homeless and outcast.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lee Andrew Pore and Mabel Vernice Pore; son, Jamar Edwards; and nephew, Tony Glover.

MRS. CARRIE RANSOM
A Homegoing Service for Mrs. Carrie Bell Ellis-Ransom of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, will be held on Saturday, July 28th, 11 a. m. at St. John Cathedral Church, 3401 E. 25th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605. Pastor Newkirk, with Rev. Edward Green, of St. Paul AME Church, officiating. The in- terment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Carrie Bell Ellis-Ran- som was born on August 20, 1923, in Safety Harbor, FL to Amos Ellis and Beatrice Ward. She was raised by her grandpar- ents, Thomas “Tom” and Carrie Ellis. Her mother preceded her when she was 3 years old, pass- ing in the 1926 Okeechobee Hur- ricane, where thousands of others died and her father died shortly afterward.
She was educated in the Pinellas County Schools.
Her grandparents recog- nized early on that she had a gift from God to play the piano. They bought her a piano and at the in- quisitive age of 9, she began to play the piano by ear. She uti- lized that God-given gift begin- ning at the age of 12, by playing the piano at her community church.
In 1939, Carrie married Rufus Stroud. Later, she mar- ried Peter Ransom, Sr., and to- gether in 1957, they built a home in Keystone to raise their nine children. They developed a veg- etable farm and raised animals. As a highly acclaimed pianist throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, she played the
piano for over 78 years. Sister Ransom used her talents to glo- rify God and began playing for church services at her then home church, St. John Mission- ary Baptist Church (currently St. John Cathedral) in the late 60s, where she was a member for 25 years.
Sister Ransom had a passion for caring for others and had a successful career in nursing until she retired. Her calling continued as a pianist until her final retirement at the age of 91 with her current home church, St. Paul AME Church, Safety, Harbor, FL. She was a joyful soul, was always kind-hearted and loved all people.
She was preceded in death by: her husband of 53 years, Peter Ransom; 2 sons, George Stroud, Sr., and Ephriam Ran- som, Sr.
Her memories will be cher- ished by: 4 daughters, Pauline Hall, Beta Ransom, Sophia Kelly (Al) and Omega Carolyn John- son (Arnold); 3 sons, Cleve Ran- som, Alpha Peter Ransom, and Jimmy Ransom; 19 grandchil- dren, Blaine Stroud, George Stroud, Jr., (Nikki), Sharon Ransom, Ephriam Ransom, Jr., (Cindy), Valarie Ransom, Philip Ransom, Mario Ransom, Sybil McNeil (Aaron), Sylvester Hall, Vanessa Ransom, Alphia Ran- som, Judy Ransom, Anthony, Anthony Irvin, Jennifer Ivory, Rennae Ransom, Rennix Ran- som, Michael Gilbert, Raven McClure (Eric), Frances Mc- Dowell (Renzo), Ebony Ransom (Denim), Labranne Matthew McQuay, David Spring (Ner- issa), Arnold Johnson, Jr., Lau- rin Williams, Kahlil Hall, Courtney Johnson; and a host of great and great, great grandchil- dren; special cousins: Florida Maxwell, Ellis family and Williams family members; spe- cial friends: Mary Brown, Dr. Rose Campbell and Jim May.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 27th from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. The family will receive friendsfrom6p.m.to7p.m.
