Three Grant Writing Workshops Planned
The Center for Non- Profit and Community De- velopment and the National Institute for Strategic and Tactical Planning will host free professional grant-writ-
ing workshops during the month of July. The work- shops will take place on three separate dates.
The first workshop will take place on September
25th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 W. Union Street.
The second workshop will take place on September
28th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The third workshop will take place on September 30th, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The National Institute for Strategic and Tactical Plan- ning workshops will describe the different types of grants available; describe the differ- ent types of grantors; iden- tify research tools available to those seeking grants; de- scribe the fundamental of
grant writing; describe the proposal writing process; de- scribe the concept paper, let- ter of intent, and letter of inquiry process, and identify grant terms.
All three workshops will cover the same information. Seating is limited and any- one wishing to attend the workshops must email wefindgrants@aol.com to confirm a seat and to obtain an invitation and workshop packet. No one will be ad- mitted without an invitation.

County Awarded Achievement Of Excellence In
Procurement
Hillsborough County Pro- curement Services has been awarded the prestigious 20th Annual Achievement of Ex- cellence in Procurement® (AEP) for 2015 from the Na- tional Procurement Institute, Inc. (NPI).
The AEP Award is earned by public and nonprofit or- ganizations that obtain a high application score based on standardized criteria. The an- nual AEP award recognizes innovation, professionalism,
e-procurement, productivity, and leadership.
The AEP program encour- ages excellence and continual organizational improvement.
For 2015, there were 207 successful applicants, includ- ing 47 counties, 66 cities, 23 higher education agencies, 25 school districts, 29 special dis- tricts, and 17 state agencies.
