Overdraft Fees To Top $1 Billion For Top 3 Banks
According to CNN, you aren't alone if you've ever been hit with an overdraft fee from your bank.
America's three biggest banks -- JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Wells Fargo -- made more than $1.1 billion on overdraft fees in the first three months of the year.
Despite efforts to curb these charges after the finan- cial crisis, they are still a big money maker for banks.
If the fee collection pace keeps up, the big three banks are on track bring in $4.5 bil-
lion in overdraft charges by the end of this year. That works out to about $20 for every American adult.
Banks aren't supposed to charge customers overdraft fees when they use an ATM to get cash unless the customer chooses or "opts in" to get the cash despite the fee.
That said, banks can still levy a fee if someone's balance goes negative because a check is cashed or an automatic pay- ment such as rent goes through and there aren't suffi- cient funds to cover it.
Lawyer Believes Police
Airman That Went On
WASHINGTON, D. C. --- An attorney has claimed Daron Wint, the suspect accused of holding hostage and murdering a family in Washington, D.C., is not 'ca- pable of killing anybody.'
Police in Washington be- lieve Wint, who is charged in the deaths of a wealthy businessman, his wife, son and a housekeeper, may have had help committing the crime.
Lawyer Robin Ficker told ABC News on Saturday 'I have completed 30,000 cases in the Maryland courts and I've met a lot of criminals and of course people who aren't criminals in my life.
'I do not believe and his parents, his mother, his brother, his sister, as I don't believe that he is capable of killing anybody.
'He's not the type, he's not a street thug, he's a gentle person.
'I believed that when I represented him 10 years ago and I believe it after talking to him for two hours today.'
Daron Dylon Wint, 34, of Lanham, Maryland, was arraigned May 22 on a first degree murder charge.
He is accused of holding captive construction busi- ness owner Savvas Savopoulos and the others until he got $40,000 in cash, then killing them and setting fire to their house in the up-

scale Woodley Park neigh- borhood of the capital.
The killings 'required the presence and assistance of more than one person,' a Washington D.C. Metropoli- tan Police detective wrote in an affidavit filed in court on May 22.
Police identified Wint from DNA found on the crust of a pizza that was delivered to the house late on May 13, the affidavit said.
However, Ficker told ABC News 'He doesn't eat pizza. If he was hungry, he wouldn't order pizza.'
Police allegedly found more than $10,000 in money orders in Wint's car and a stack of $100 bills and more money orders in the truck, court documents said.
Police have said Wint had worked for Savopou- los' company, American Iron Works.
BISMARCK, N.D. — An autopsy will determine if a man had drugs or alcohol in his system when he fatally shot one worker and injured a second before killing himself at a North Dakota Wal-Mart store, police said Wednesday.
Police said the shooting at the store in Grand Forks a few minutes after 1 a.m. Tuesday may have been random. In- vestigators have found no link between the gunman, 21- year-old Marcell Willis, and the store or the employees whom he shot.
Willis was stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base. According to his social media, he’s a college graduate who had been working a second job. Just hours before his death, he wrote on Facebook “Go Hawks,” in reference to the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. Willis had driven to the store with two friends who didn’t know anything about his plans.
Police on Wednesday
AIRMAN MARCELL WILLIS
