Black-Owned Moving Company Owner Learned From Working With Others
BY MONIQUE STAMPS Sentinel Staff Writer
Move Sup’M Movers has taken on some big projects in Tampa. The family business, owned by Rolston Gal- limore, was started during COVID.
At the time, Gallimore had been working for other moving companies for over ten years, learning the busi- ness from the inside out.
Gallimore had come to Tampa when he was 16 years old and graduated from King High School.
He started thinking about starting his own moving company because his sister, Tori Boyd, was a relocation
specialist in Tampa, and he could see the market evolv- ing.
He received his business li- cense, supplies, and a truck, and the rest was history.
He would leave flyers all over Tampa, including sev- eral U-Haul locations, adver- tising his services.
Now, his moving company, Move Sup’M Movers, has been in business for over two years.
The company has scored big jobs for being in business a short amount of time, in- cluding the huge move-out of residents for Tampa Park Apartments.
He now employs a regular crew of four family members
