Pacers Guard Tyreke Evans Dismissed From NBA For 2 Years For Drug Violation
TYREKE EVANS
Guard Tyreke Evans, who played for the Indiana Pacers this season, has been "dis- missed and disqualified" from the NBA for two years for vio- lating the league's anti-drug program.
Evans, 29, averaged 10.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game with the Pac- ers. He averaged 15.7 points per game in his career after being drafted fourth overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2009.
The NBA said Evans is eli- gible to apply for reinstatement to the league in two years.
Evans was suspended for one game early in the season for tardiness and missed games later in the season for personal reasons.
Bulls Interested In Trading For Lonzo Ball
LONZO BALL
A surprising destination may be emerging for Lonzo Ball if he is ultimately traded by the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Chicago Bulls are “in- trigue[d]” by the possibility of trading for the 21-year-old point guard.
For Ball, who missed 35 games to injury last season and struggled to adapt to LeBron James’ arrival, his playmaking and defensive savvy would make an ideal addition to Chicago’s young core. Fellow UCLA Bruin Zach LaVine is naturally more of a shooting guard, and big men Wendell Carter, Jr and Lauri Markkanen can serve as qual- ity pick-and-roll or pick-and- pop partners.
The Bulls have the No. 7 overall pick in this year’s draft plus other assets to offer, but they are not the only team with interest in acquiring Ball.

Zach Keith, a young basketball player from Geor- gia, is only 13 years old but he already wears a size 18 shoe. Unfortunately, Keith's mom can't afford his extra-large sneakers. But, luckily for the teen, former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal heard the teen's story and wanted to help.
O'Neal, who wears a size 22, said he related to the teen's story. "Mom couldn't afford shoes. The kid had big feet. I just kind of reminisced about how that used to be me, my mom and my dad," O'Neal told CBS Atlanta af- filiate WGCL-TV.
So, O'Neal and the sta- tion devised a plan to sur- prise the teen at Friedman's Shoes in Atlanta.
The shoe store has been carrying large shoes for years and has become a favorite spot for athletes with large feet like O'Neal. "If they don't come from Bruce and Freidman's don't show them
to me," O'Neal told the sta- tion.
When Keith met his idol at the shoe store, they didn't just chat, they went shop- ping. The basketball legend ended up buying Keith 10 pairs of size 18 shoes. He bought all different kinds, knowing it was often hard for the teen and his mom to find the right size.
"This will help a lot. I won't so much have to worry about buying him dress shoes," the teen's mom, Brittany Keith said. "He hasn't had a pair of dress shoes in about four or five years because it's been hard trying to find the ones that actually fit."
Zach Keith said he was shocked to be in the same room as Shaq. "I'm like, 'Whoa, he wants to buy me shoes, out of all people?'" he told WGCL. The pair ended up practicing some basket- ball moves inside the store together.
