Appreciation Program Planned For Popular Pastor

On Saturday, September 23th, Rev. Eddie and Mrs. Geraldine Nunn will be the guests of honor at an appre- ciation program. The event will take place at 4 p.m., St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2504 E. Chipco, Rev. Bart Banks Pastor.
Rev. Banks will also serve as the keynote speaker for the appreciation program. Elder Frank Gray and Pastor and Mrs. Donald (Marie) White will also participate in the program along with others. The theme is “Faithful Servants Living A Legacy of Exemplifying God’s Love.”
The Whites, who are sponsors for the event said, “We are inviting everyone to us to honor and show love to this Living Legacy couple.”

A Tampa couple, Pastor and Mrs. Nunn are the par- ents of four children. They are also grandparents. He re- tired after serving twenty years as pastor.
Need A Job?: Geico To Add 300 To 500 New Jobs After Expansion In Lakeland
Geico, the insurance com- pany owned by Warren Buf- fett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., plans to create 300 to 500 new jobs and invest about $12 million as it ex- pands its operations in Lake- land, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The Lakeland office presently employs 2,800 people, and will be expanding its present office with the building of a 50,000 sq. ft. of- fice. The new jobs will pay about $45,000.
The Polk County Board of County Commissioners ap- proved tax incentives for the expansion Tuesday, about two weeks after the Lakeland City Commission gave its own approval to the deal, which was negotiated under the code name Project Mar- lin.
