MS. SYLVIA LORETTA HOLTON
Funeral services for Ms. Sylvia Loretta Holton will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 2 p.m., at the 34th Street Church Of God, Bishop Thomas Scott, Pastor, offici- ating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Av- enue.
On Friday, September 1, 2017, Ms. Holton was in- volved in a traffic accident that left her with life-threat- ening injuries. She quietly passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
A Tampa native, Ms. Holton attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1976 and continued her edu- cation at Hillsborough Com- munity College.
She was preceded in her journey to a world without pain by: her son, Christopher Britton; parents; Daniel and Lillian Holton, Sr., brothers, Daniel, Jr., Theodore, Sr., Henry Holton, and Edward Holton; sisters, Elizabeth Holton Gainey and Lerner Dean Holton Richards; sev- eral aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
Memories of her remark- able spirit and friendly na- ture will remain with her children: Howard (Quanisha) Tyson, Jr., Felicia (Derreck) Danzey, Maurice (Sheila) Danzey, Sr., Opelika, AL, Lil- lian Holton, Twiman (Brit- tnee) Roberts, Jr., Keith Morgan, Jr., and Charletta Morgan; grandchildren: Sanai, Syhire, Seth, Justyce, Jacquez, Amari, Kallie, Mau- rice, Jr., Elijah, Christina, Ar- mani, and Peyton; brothers: Clarence (Agatha) Holton, Al- bert (Dixie) Holton, Rev. Mr. Edward Charles Mann of Tampa, Florida passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. Fu- neral services will be con- ducted Saturday, September 23 at 2 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Rev- erend James Leon Gallon, offi- ciating.
Mr. Mann was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County and was a mem- ber of Cathedral of Faith Church. Mr. Mann was a de- tailer for Mister Carwash until his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by: his loving parents, Sylvester and Ernestine Mann; brother, Bernard Martin; un- cles, Jimmy Mann, Willie Mann, and Freddie Mann.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his only child, Gloria Lovett (Willie); grandchildren, Willie Piggott, Jr., and Khloe Piggott; 3 sisters, Linda “Diah” Mann-Hardy (Marvin), Alice Mann (Natasha) and Sonia Mann (John); brothers, Timo- thy Mann, Terry Mann (Lisa), Calvin Mann and Dereck Mann (Tia), all of Tampa, FL; uncles, Sammy Mann, Earl Mann (Renee), Lonnie Mann (Shyral) and Thomas Bartley of Georgia; aunts, Mary Mann, Georgia Mann, Linda Hodges- Crum and Gwendolyn Williamson; special friend, Maydean Mann; devoted friends, Eddie Welch, Robert Thomas, Matt McGee and David Darns; cousin like a brother, Victor Mann, Sr. (Debra); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other rela- tives, the entire West Tampa Crew; and friends. Mr. Moses Ernest Richard- son, Jr., of St. Petersburg, FL passed away Thursday, Septem- ber 14, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Sep- tember 23, 2017 at 2 p.m., at Mount Olive A. M. E. Church, 5100 Horton Road, Plant City, FL 33567 with Reverend Ken- neth Irby of Bethel A. M. E. Church, St. Petersburg, FL, offi- ciating and eulogist. Interment will follow in Bealsville Ceme- tery, Plant City, FL.
Mr. Moses Ernest Richard- son, Jr., was a native of Tampa, Florida and a resident of St. Pe- tersburg, FL. He was a loving and caring person that kept our family together.
Moses was preceded in death: by his mother, Estelle Walker Richardson; father, Moses Ernest Richardson, Sr.; sisters, Ethel Harrell, Mary Brown, Vera Micher, Cynthia Richardson, and Marian Williams; and brother, John Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Vinnie “Viney” Jackson and Theresa Magee; special aunt whom he was raised by, Pearl Goodwin; aunts, Viola Walker and Mildred Thompson; nieces, Gayle Har- rell, Antoinette Foggo, Venita Richardson, Sonya Richardson, Yolanda Wilcher, Rojina Du- rant, Angela McNeal, and Paquita Williams; nephews, An- thony Brown, Keith Williams, Reginald Williams, Eric Ingram, Charles Chambers, Kingsley Peart, Arthur Brown, Alton Brown, Clinton Harrell, Rovard Micher, Xavier Magee; special cousin, Erma McDonald, Evan McDonald, Myrtle Brantley, Al- berta Watts, and Irvin Pratt; special friend, Marsha Mills; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and dear friends.

Mr. Richard Anthony Stephens, Sr., was a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and a resident of Tampa for many years. He was employed for many years by the City of Tampa Storm Water Depart- ment.
Mr. Stephens was pre- ceded in death by: his parents, Mr. James Stephens and Glo- ria Holmes.

MRS. BERTHA LEE MCCALISTER KEMP
Home going celebration for Mrs. Bertha Lee McCalister Kemp who passed on Septem- ber 14, 2017 will be held on Sat- urday, September 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N. 34th Street, Tampa, Florida with Bishop Thomas Scott, officiating. The interment service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Av- enue, Bushnell, FL 33513, at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Bertha Lee McCalister Kemp born on November 26, 1938, was one of five children and the only daughter of Elijah and Pecola Speights McCalis- ter, attended Jackson County Public Schools in Marianna, Florida. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age.
At age 15, she migrated to Tampa, Florida, to reside with her uncle and aunt and gradu- ated from Middleton High School with honors, receiving an academic scholarship to at- tend Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she received her Bachelor’s de- gree. On December 5, 1959, during her sophomore year, she was initiated into the Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorpo- rated. She relocated back to Tampa later earned her Mas- ter’s Degree from the Univer- sity of Tampa. She was a retired educator with a career that spanned 40 years within the Hillsborough County School System. She continued her service in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., transferring her membership into the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter, where she remained an active mem- ber until her health would not permit. She had 57 years of un- interrupted service! Other pro- fessional organizations also include the following: NAACP, NCNW, Tampa Urban League, and HEAR, Phi Delta Kappa, and Top Ladies of Distinction.
