Obama Slams GOP Health Care Proposal
In a rare public appear- ance eight months after leav- ing office, former President Barack Obama took shots at his successor's plans on health care and foreign policy but didn't criticize him by name.
In a speech and question- and-answer session that closely resembled the types of appearances he favored as president, Obama called re- peated efforts to repeal his signature health care law "frustrating." He defended in- stitutions like the United Na- tions as essential to collective diplomacy. And he warned against nationalism and xeno-

"It may be frustrating that
we have to mobilize every cou- ple months to keep our lead- ers from inflicting real human suffering on their con- stituents," Obama said of the health care battle. "But typi- cally, that's how progress is won."
Obama's speech at an event sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Founda- tion came during Trump's first trip to the UN General Assembly, the yearly gather- ing of diplomats in New York. As Obama spoke, Trump was shuttling between meet- ings with the leaders of the Palestinian Authority and var- ious countries in Africa.

Man Dating Laurence Fishburne’s Wife Identified As Tech ‘Cowboy’
Recently, Laurence Fishburne’s wife, Gina Torres, was spotted kissing another man, and that man has since been identified as tech entrepreneur Kevin Wright, a father of six from Utah.
The two of them report- edly met in mid-August on Dana Point, California, where they bonded over the fact that they had both recently left long relationships.
According to Page Six sources, Wright didn’t even know who Torres was at first.
According to a source

close to the two of them, “I think when you’ve been mar- ried a long time and you be- come single, you look for someone that has what your
ex was missing. I think [Tor- res] finds in Kevin what she didn’t find in [Fishburne]. He’s the opposite of a Holly- wood guy — he’s just a cow- boy type. He’s an ‘I’m going to go ride my horse’ type of guy.”
After Torres was spotted kissing Wright despite hav- ing been married to Fish- burne since 2002, she put out a statement saying, “With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our mar- riage in the early fall of last year.”
