Business Robbed Twice In 3 Days
Detectives with the Tampa Police Depart- ment are currently in- vestigating two robberies that took place 3 days apart. The robberies oc- curred at the Family Dollar, 4900 N. 40th Street.
Police Search For Witness In Fatal Shooting

Detectives are searching for a witness to a shooting that left one man dead and another critically injured. The shooting took place early Sun- day, near the intersection of N. Armenia Avenue and Alva Street.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to the location in reference to shots being fired shortly after 3 a.m. When of- ficers arrived at the scene, they discovered that O’Shay Lindsey Vondel Lewis, 23, of Tampa, and 24-year-old David Williams, Jr. were both inside a 2006 Nissan Al- tima suffering gunshot wounds.
Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene and Williams was transported to a local hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition. He remains in critical condi- tion, police said.
Investigators learned that the men were traveling south on Armenia Avenue, shortly before 3 a.m. Lewis was driv- ing the vehicle when uniden- tified suspects drove up beside the Nissan and fired several shots into the driver’s side.
During the investigation, detectives have obtained video from the Palladium bar that shows a man leaving the bar in a dark-colored 4-door vehicle before the shooting. Police would like to talk to the man who could be a witness to the shooting.

Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Murder Of Brother Of Bucs Linebacker
The first robbery
took place Sunday, September 17th, shortly after 5 p.m. During that offense,
the suspect entered
the store and de- manded money from both registers. He had an object in his hand that was covered.
Once he obtained the money, he fled the scene in an undetermined direction.
On Wednesday, shortly after 9 a.m., a Black man en- tered the store, wearing a mask. He jumped over the counter, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money. The clerk opened the register and gave the man the money.
He then demanded money from the second register. However, the manager told him there was no money in that register.
He fled the store on foot in a northwest direction.

A man was sentenced on murder charges after the shooting death of an Oxford teenager.
Calhoun County District Attorney Brian McVeigh confirms Jerald Bailey was charged with murder, after the shooting of 17-year-old Broderick Taylor, II.
Bailey has been sen- tenced to life in prison for the murder.

was shot late one Friday night following a fight and that they searched all night long for a suspect. Police say Bailey turned himself in the follow- ing morning.
Taylor was the younger brother of Tampa Bay Bucca- neers linebacker Kwon Alexander, who played in a game against the Atlanta Fal- cons a day and a half later while still grieving his family's loss.

Police searched the area using air service and K-9 units, but were unable to lo- cate the suspect.
Police said at this time, it is unclear if the same person robbed the store both times.
The suspect in the second robbery is described as being between 5’8’ and 5’10,” with a thin to medium build.

Teacher Charged With Grand Theft
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 58- year-old teacher Wednesday. She was charged with grand theft.
According to police, on September 5th, the victim and Ms. Sylvia Clark, both teachers, were sitting outside at Hammond Elementary School. The victim left her purse and lunchbox on the table while she went to help a student.
Police said when the vic- tim left, Ms. Clark allegedly removed her wallet, contain- ing $340, and other items from the victim’s purse. That same day, the victim’s credit
card was used at the Publix, 15151 Dale Mabry Highway.
The vic- tim posi- tively identified Ms. Clark as the per- son in the surveillance video using the
credit card.
After completing their in-
vestigation, detectives ar- rested Ms. Clark on Wednesday and charged her with grand theft and fraudu- lent use of a credit card.
A 36-year-old Tampa man was killed in a single car acci- dent Wednesday morning. The accident took place on I- 4 at the westbound exit ramp east of Park Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Casey Curry was driving west- bound on I-4 shortly before 11 a.m. For unknown reasons, Curry lost control of his 2012 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle left the roadway, went down the concrete embankment, and entered a canal adjacent to the roadway.

The investigation is con- tinuing.
Two women were arrested in connection with a road rage incident that took place in Pasco County. The incident took place on September 19th.
According to police, the two women, identified as Ali- cia Nicole Scarduzio, 20, and Shelly Lyn Gamber- ling, 49, were taken into cus- tody and charged with aggravated battery and bur- glary.
The women are accused of reaching through the driver’s window of another car who police did not identify. The woman reportedly grabbed the woman by her hair and neck and pulled her out of her seat through the window.

women punched her several times in the face and body, causing her to lose conscious- ness. The woman sustained a broken nose and other in- juries. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. The incident was captured on video.
Police did not say what prompted the attack.
