  Aretha Franklin’s ‘Amazing Grace’ Acquired By Neon, Will Get Early 2019 Release
 Neon has acquired North American rights to Amazing Grace, the Aretha Franklin concert film that has taken 45 years to get to a big screen. The 1972 concert documentary, shot by Syd- ney Pollack, chronicles Franklin’s famed perform- ance with the choir at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Watts when she was 29, which became the genesis of the biggest-selling gospel

album of all time. It has been mired in legal technicalities ever since.
The pic finally had its world premiere at DOC NYC and then screened at AFI Fest as part of an Oscar- qualifying run that began last month in L.A. It contin- ues that run beginning today in New York at the Film Forum. Neon is now plan- ning an early 2019 theatrical release.
   Nicki Minaj Threatens To Sue Daily Mail TV Host Jesse Palmer For Defamation

 Something Daily Mail TV host Jesse Palmer said evi- dently caused Nicki Minaj to lash out. On Tuesday (De- cember 11), Black Barbie headed to social media and threatened Palmer with a lawsuit.
“You better have a good lawyer, #JessePalmer #ArnoldPalmer,” she wrote alongside a photo of Palmer. “You just lied on me on nat’l TV & now you’re
being sued. You better be able to back up what you just said about me with FACTS. #SuperFacts #Defamation.”
Nicki wasn’t done there. She then hopped over to Twitter where the platinum- selling artist continued dig- ging at Palmer.
“You going to jail,” she wrote. “The barbz are get- ting more tuition & student loan money after I sue this h*e.”
 Offset Says He Misses Cardi B Following Split
 A mere five days after Cardi B announced her split from Offset, the Migos rapper is already showing signs of withdrawal. On Sun- day (December 9). the bona fide rap star hit Twitter to let his 1.59 million followers know how he’s feeling. “F*^K YALL I MISS CARDI,” he wrote in all caps.
