      Business partners, Brenda McKenzie Singhal and Mary Richardson-Lowry launch new unique perfume company, Identity Narrative in time for holidays.

Putting on perfume should be like putting on a personality – wear scents that match whomever you are or whomever you feel like.
At least, that’s what per- fumer Brenda McKenzie Singhal advises.
The entrepreneur re- cently launched Identity Narrative, an online per- fume shop that encourages shoppers to “wear scents that reflect your inner being - your true self, each and every beautiful day.”
“If we all stay in our boxes, we may as well live under a rock,” said Sing- hal, a Tampa resident. “If a fragrance speaks to you, you should wear it.”
Singhal, a former Real- tor, said her foray into per- fumes began with a strong curiosity about the ingredi- ents in the beauty products she used.
A joint venture with part- ner Mary Richardson- Lowry, Identity Narrative puts a spin on the fragrance industry in a few ways. First, it’s a small collection – just seven fragrances with
names like Nomadic, New Minimalism, and Curation.
And these fragrances are available only as eau de par- fum or as perfume, which contain the highest levels of oil concentration.
“You’re getting the most essential fragrance” with minimal additives, Singhal said.
Lastly, the scents aren’t just for men or women, but were designed to appeal to both.
That means none of the fragrances are overly floral. And thanks to “unisex” notes like amber, white musk, and Madagascan in- cense, these fragrances can match to anyone and can be switched up to match the person’s, she said.
“What it really promises is a feeling,” Singhal said. “You may not be exactly the same every day, depending on how you wish to express yourself.”
Currently, Identity Nar- rative fragrances are only available online. But that could soon change as Sing- hal and Richardson- Lowry engage in talks with retailers and take on brand ambassadors.
