Ms. Bettie J. Henry was called home on May 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church located at 1605 North Nebraska Av- enue, Tampa, FL, 33602, on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 1
p. m.
MRS. HARVETTA WATSON
Mrs. Harvetta Watson of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on May 13, 2016 at Bay Pines Health Care System.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20, 2016, at 10 a. m. at The Center For Manifestation Church, 3102 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, with Dr. Mark Jones, Sr., pastor, officiating. The interment will be held in Sarasota Na- tional Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvetta was a native of Tyler, Texas. She received her Associate Degree in Hos- pitality and Management and also held a degree in Correc- tional Services.
She was a member of Preparing The Way For The Kingdom. Mrs. Watson served as a Ordained Minis- ter. She also served in the U. S. Army.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Michael A. Watson; sons, Antonio Burnett (Alicia), Jackie Van Burnett, Jr., Martrelle Brown, Michael Watson, Jr. and Marcus Watson; mother, Elsie Mae Moore-Griffin; sis- ters, Shawana Griffin Fludd, Dora Rochelle Lampkin, Dei- dre Roberson (John), and Torian Moore-Griffin; broth- ers-in-law, Joe Nathaniel and Ricky Jackson; sister-in-law, Jeanette Biggs; 8 grandchil- dren; and a host of other rel- atives and friends.
Visitation hours will be from 4-7 p. m., Thursday, May 19, 2016. The wake will commence at 6 p. m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1534 18th Av- enue South, St. Petersburg, FL, 33705.

BROTHER CHARLES SMITH, JR.
Funeral service for Brother Charles Smith, Jr., who was called home to be with the Lord with his de- voted sons by his side on Sun- day May 8, 2016, will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11 a. m. at In My Father’s House, 3101 East Lake Av- enue, Tampa, with Pastor David Carson, officiating, eu- logist. Interment will follow at Florida National Ceme- tery, Bushnell, FL, with Mili- tary Honors.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Jacqueline L. Smith; his parents, Charlie and Irma Smith; and grand- daughter, Jovanna Carol Smith.
Brother Smith leaves to cherish memories of him with: three devoted sons, Charles Smith, III, Joseph Smith and David L. Smith; granddaughter, Nya Janell Smith; sister, Annie Pearl Griffin (Rev. Ernest Griffin, Sr.); three step sisters, Carrie Tucker, Rose O. Bass and Georgian Walker; two nephews, Ernest Griffin, Jr. (Conchita), and Darrell Griffin, Sr.; and a host of nephews, nieces and many sorrowing friends.
Brother Charles Smith, Jr. was born on December 30, 1940, to the parentage of Mr. Charlie Smith, Sr. and Irma Bell Smith in Jacksonville, FL.
At an early age he gave his life to the Lord.
He attended the Duval County Schools and gradu- ated in the class of 1960, from Northwestern High School, where he was an avid baseball player.
Following high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country with honor and passion, per- forming two tours of duty in Vietnam during his twenty year career.
Upon retirement from the Air Force, he made his home in Tampa; and work for the United States Postal Service and retired after twenty years of service.
Charles was a former Dea- con of the New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church where he was very active.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 19, 2016, from 5-7 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Friday at approximately 10:45 a. m.

MRS. RUBY
CHARLENE JENKINS JOHNSON ‘CHA CHA’
The memorial service for Mrs. Ruby Charlene Jenkins Johnson “Cha Cha” of Hephzibah, Georgia, who passed away February 19, 2016, at Georgia Regent Uni- versity in Augusta, Georgia, will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 1 p. m. at New Progress M. B. Church lo- cated at 3307 E. Shadowlawn Ave., Tampa, Florida.
Charlene was born May 18, 1944, in Ocilla, Georgia. Her family relocated to Tampa in the 50s. Charlene attended schools in Hillsborough County. She was in the Howard W. Blake class of 1962.
She married Odell Johnson in August of 1962, thus begin- ning her travels as a military wife. Odell had assignments in the states and abroad; this gave flavor for Charlene’s worldwide travel. After mili- tary retirement they made their home in Hephzibah, Georgia.
Charlene loved God, her family, and friends. She ap- preciated and collected all types of music, loved dancing, traveling, and helping others. She also had an eye for fash- ion, and most of all she en- joyed spending time with her family and friends.
We will remember Char- lene forever. Her smile, laugh, and sense of humor will be missed but she will re- main in our hearts forever.
The family wishes to ex- press their appreciation for the prayers and well wishes.
