Some 791 guns were collected over a gun-buyback program in Los Angeles last weekend, ac- cording to the Los Angeles Times. Returns to the program included "364 handguns, 144 shotguns, 237 rifles, 42 assault- style weapons"; four of the firearms submitted didn't fit into a specific category.
A 1911 .45-caliber pistol owned by Sammy Davis Jr. was one of the guns returned. It is believed to have cost around $350 at the time of purchase. The buyback program is anony- mous, and those who returned weapons—no question asked— were given Ralphs supermar- ket gift cards.

Actor, Wendell Pierce got into a violent political argu- ment with a female Bernie Sanders supporter — and al- legedly wound up hitting the woman in the head outside an Atlanta hotel, according to a report.
Pierce, who starred in the crime drama “The Wire,” was arrested on battery charges Saturday for assaulting the woman at the Loews Hotel, TMZ reported.

Taking place in Cleveland, The Land is a coming-of-age film executive-produced by Nas and written and directed by newcomer Steven Caple Jr. The film stars The Wire’s Michael K. Williams, Erykah Badu, Machine Gun Kelly and Sons of An- archy’s Kim Coates, with newcomer Jorge Lendeborg Jr.
The movie follows the tur- bulent lives of four teens who have aspirations of becoming professional skateboarders but who find that the streets of Cleveland aren’t the easiest to
break from. Lendeborg stars as Cisco, a teen who uses skateboarding as an escape mechanism, but lands in trou- ble with his friends when they steal and sell Molly (the drug) to raise money for a skate- boarding competition.
The movie, during its Sun- dance Film Festival debut, was heralded not only for its story- line but also for the sound- track, which features music by Kanye, Badu, Pusha T, Je- remih, French Montana and Nosaj Thing.
The Land will be released July 29.
Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof has invited Lamar Odom back to his Love Ranch, the Nevada brothel where he overdosed in October, TMZ.com reported.
Hof, known as the ringmas- ter from HBO's "Cathouse: The Series," told the gossip website that Odom's first night would be on the house and include two prostitutes and all-you- can-drink Remy Martin co- gnac.
