RAY WILLIAMS
MR. OTIS JAMES COLBERT, SR.
Mr. Otis James Colbert, Sr. of Tampa, Florida passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, February 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Avenue Church of Christ, 2800 N. Highland Av- enue with Pastor, Dr. T. R. Daly, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required. Mr. Otis James Colbert, Sr., was a native of Barbour County, Eufaula, Alabama, and attended Rebecca Comer High School, Bakerhill, AL. He moved to Tampa, Florida in 1963, and was the proud Owner/Operator of Colbert’s Auto Repair for many
years until his retirement.
Mr. Colbert was united in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Mildred Williams in 1974. To this union a son was born, Otis James Colbert, Jr., AKA “O.J.” Mr. Colbert obeyed the gospel of Christ in 1978 and be- came a member of Highland Av- enue Church of Christ, where he remained a hardworking faithful member until the day he was
called home.
His hobbies included: fish-
ing, hunting and re-building cars, but most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchil- dren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph Lee Hunter and Dixie Lou Colbert Hunter.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Mil- dred W. Colbert; loving son, Otis J. Colbert, Jr., and wife Latia; two beautiful grandchildren, T’ari and Zion; siblings, Rosa Mae Colbert, Jacksonville, FL, Martha Groom, Jacksonville, FL, Glenda White, Phoenix City, AL, Murray Lee Hunter, Clarkesville, TN, Rebecca Shorter (Larry), Eu- faula, AL, Jolinda Walker (George), Dothan, AL, Robert Hunter (Alice), Eufaula, AL, Jenetta Dozier, Eufaula, AL, Earnestine Harris (Andre), Eu- faula, AL, Gary Appling, Eufaula, AL, Joseph Hunter, Jr., Eufaula, AL, and Darrell Hunter, Eufaula, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose from 3 – 7 p.m. on Friday, February 19, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.

MRS. BESSIE RODRIGUEZ
Mrs. Bessie Rodriguez of Tampa, Florida, passed away Sat- urday, February 6, 2021. Grave- side services were conducted Tuesday, February 16 at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, with Reverend Earl B. Mason, Sr., offi- ciant. The interment followed.
Mrs. Rodriguez was a native of Quincy, Florida, and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years. She graduated from Florida A & M College and was a member of St. Paul AME Church, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and the Tampa Chapter of Links, Inc.
Mrs. Rodriguez retired after 40 years of dedicated service as an Educator from the School Dis- trict of Hillsborough County.
She leaves to mourn her pass- ing: a devoted daughter, Normita R. Jeffery and husband, Timothy; granddaughters, Leslie Jeffery and Andrea Jeffery; great grand- daughter, Jayla Jeffery; cousins, Gladys Blalock, Carole, Josette, Stephanie and Joe Sykes; and many friends, former students and extended family.
The visitation was held Mon- day, February 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Arrangements en- trusted to RAY WILLIAMS FU- NERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
MOTHER EMOGENE JOHNSON
Mother Emogene Johnson, of Tampa passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021. A Graveside service will be conducted Satur- day, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33610 with Rev- erend Willie Jones, officiating. In- terment will follow.
Please follow the CDC Guide- lines. Masks are required. Family has requested that family and friends please meet at the ceme- tery.
Mother Emogene Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, and was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County. She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of her life at an early age and was baptized by the late Elder W. E. Davis, Sr., of College Hill COGIC.
Mother Johnson was a devoted member of Full Gospel Church of God in Christ, where she served on the Mother’s Board. Mother John- son loved her family and church family and will be remembered for her unwavering faith.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Timothy Calhoun and Louise Allen; daughter, Lillian Hall; and twin sister, Ernestine Lawrence.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory: three daughters, Ms. Margie Waldron, Ms. Linda Kaye Waldron and Ms. Brenda Williams; 16 grandchildren; 50 great grandchil- dren; 13 great, great grandchil- dren; half sister, Mrs. Mary Louise Helms; sister, Mrs. Mary Rose Love; brother-in-law, Reverend Esleman Lawrence; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, neighbors, friends; special friends, Mother Glenn and Ms. Felicia Williams and the Full Gospel COGIC Church family.

Mr. Henry Lee Felton, Sr., of Tampa, departed this life on Sat- urday, February 6, 2021. A Cele- bration of Life service will be conducted Saturday, February 20, at 11 a.m. at Ray Williams Memo- rial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, Tampa, FL 33606. Mr. Henry Lee Felton, Sr., was a native of Byromville, Georgia, and a resident of Tampa for many years. Mr. Felton retired with over 40 years with the City of Tampa.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lena Felton; parents, Johnny and Emma Felton; broth- ers, Ed Felton, and J. B. Felton; and sisters, Beulah Felton, Car- olyn Amaker, and Nellie Shep- pard.
