At approximately 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Tampa Po- lice responded to a shooting in the 2600 block of E. Emma. When officers arrived at the intersection of E. Emma and N. 26th Street, they found a young man suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The man was later identi- fied as Malik Torres. Fire Rescue responded and admin- istered emergency first aid be- fore Torres was transported to a local hospital. The 20- year-old man later died.

During the investigation, police learned that three Black
males in their late teens to mid 20s were observed fleeing the area in a 2009-2010 light col- ored sedan with tinted win- dows.

Two Murder Victims Found In Ruskin Home

Deputies responded to 9-1- 1 reports of two deceased peo- ple in a home in Ruskin Wednesday. When deputies ar- rived at 2611 14th Avenue SE, in Ruskin, they located a man and a woman, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the victims have been identified as Ms. Juanita D. Solorzano, 33, and 24-year- old Alexis Martinez, who listed the address as his resi- dence.
Detectives said they do not believe the double murder is a random act and have possibly established a motive for the killings.

An early morning traffic accident claimed the life of a Tampa woman Wednesday. The accident took place around 1 a. m., on Morris Bridge Road.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Camaren Edson, 23, was driving a 2003 Nissan Mu- rano northbound on Morris Bridge Road, north of Davis Road. Ms. Uniquea Hamilton, 24, was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion, south- bound. Ms. Takenya James, 35, was the passen- ger in Ms. Hamilton’s ve- hicle.
Police said Edson failed to negotiate the left curve and crossed the center line and into the path of Ms. Hamil- ton’s vehicle.

front of the Ford, resulting in all three people being seri- ously injured. Edson and Ms. Hamilton were trans- ported to Tampa General Hospital. Ms. James was transported to Florida Hospi- tal, where she later died.
No charges have been filed, however, the investiga- tion is continuing, police said.

Driver Killed In Single-Car Accident
      The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigat- ing a shooting that left a mother and her daughter dead. A person is suffering life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the bodies of Ms. Brena Mar- shall, who would have turned 17 on Friday, and her mother, Ms. Taneta Mor- rell, 40, were found inside
the Brooksville home.
Police also found Adol-
phus Washington, 36, in- side the home suffering from gunshots. He was trans- ported to a local hospital with life-threatening in- juries.
Officers responded to the Hill n’ Dale subdivision near State Road 50 in Brooksville around 8:48 p.m. Tuesday.
A 57-year-old Brandon man died in a traffic accident early Wednesday. The acci- dent took place around 6:30 a.m., on Parsons Avenue.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, Kenneth A. Wetherington, of Bran- don, was driving his blue, Ford F-150 truck south-
bound on S. Parsons Avenue. For undetermined reasons, Wetherington left the roadway and struck a tree just north of Vonderburg Road. He was transported to Brandon Regional Hospital, where he later died of his in- juries.
The investigation into the accident is continuing.
   Robbery Victim Beaten With Pipe
Police are currently searching for a man who robbed a woman and beat her with a pipe. The incident took place on Tuesday, January 16th, around 8:50 p.m.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, the unidentified 53-year-old woman was walking home. The suspect grabbed her purse and hit her with a metal object, police believe to be a pipe, causing serious injuries.
The incident was captured
on a nearby surveillance cam- era.
The suspect is described as a Black man in his 20s to 30s. He was described as being about 5’10” and weighing about 180 pounds. He may be riding a dark colored bicycle and was last seen wearing a UPS NASCAR jacket.
