  JACKSON
MR. SYLVESTER HOLLIDAY, JR.
A celebration of life service for Mr. Sylvester Holliday, Jr. whose life’s journey ended July 10, 2022, will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, 11:00 am at Jack- son Funeral Home, 4605 N. 34th Street, Tampa, Florida 33610. Elder Antonio Jenkins officiating, interment at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Sylvester (Sassy) Holli- day, Jr. was a native of Tampa Florida. He was the son of Sylvester Holliday Sr. and Ruth Griffin. He was educated in Hillsborough County Public School, he also attended Job Corps in Morganfield, Ky. Sassy was a vibrant person, he loved martial arts, drawing, basket- ball and playing checkers.
Mr. Sylvester was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Holliday Sr. and Ruth Griffin; brother, Foster Jerome Thomas; sisters, Margarie Spearmon, Saundra Spearmon, Gail Speight, Sylvia Ann Holli- day, and Lenora Holliday.
Mr. Sylvester leaves to cher- ish his memories; 2 brothers, Louis Speight and Oliver Holli- day Sr.; 1 sister, Sonja Holliday (William); 10 nieces, Quonsiha Holliday, Taeryla Holliday, Agar (David) Jackson, Wiyana (Malik) Bailey, Latoya Lindsey, Ronnetta Henry, Chavia Robin- son, Letticia (Tony) King, Por- sha Thomas, Julie Thomas; 10 nephews, Tavaris Speight, Jayson Speight, Oliver Holli- day, Jr., Calvin Lindsey, Elja Lindsey, Herbert Davis, Jr., Virgil Bolds (Diana Hagen), Foster Thomas Jr., Carey Thomas, and Martinez Thomas; 28 great nieces and nephews, friends of the family, Jacqueline Williams, Reggie Brown and Family, Chris Sanders, Car Credit, Club 1828, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation is Friday, July 22, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 N. 34th Street, Tampa, Florida 33610. Family and Friends are asked to assemble at Jackson Funeral Home at 10:45 am on Saturday, July 23, 2022, for the service. Please fol- low guidelines, masks are rec- ommended.

Mr. Earnest L. Darden passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 5:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating. MASK RECOMMENEDED.
Earnest was a resident of Georgia and also Tampa for 50 years. He was very popular in the WestTampacommunityandwas a member of Mount Olive Church. He leaves behind three children. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Mr. Antonio P Escalante (Toni/Lumpy) passed away Fri- day, July 8, 2022. Funeral Serv- ices will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Shaw and Co Pastor Catherine, Officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Antonio (Toni) was a na- tive of Florida and a resident of Tampa for 77 years. He attended Blake High School and was a member of Livingston Ave Bap- tist Church. He was last em- ployed as a Chef at Bobalouies Grille and Sports Garden.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole- gario Antonio Escalante (Susie Lee William); son, Theopolis Hollomon; brothers, George, Rickey, and Roosevelt Es- calante; and nephew, George R. Escalante Jr.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories with his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Virginia; his children, An- tionette Escalante, Mercedes White (Carlton), Nelson Hol- lomon (Katrina), and Azia Es- calante; grandchildren, Louis, Ebony, Zana, Tevin Sr. (Cather- ine), Theopolis Jr. (Stacee), Corea, Ariana, Amal and Carl- ton Jr. (Saquana); great grand- children, McKenzie Shay, Layla, Jeremiah, Jacoby Anaya, Anyla, Ella, Elighjah, Giovanni, unborn Julian, Jaleah, Ameyah, Tevin Jr., Alexander, DaKota, and Theopolis III; brothers, Frank Escalante (Rita), Willie Es- calante (Joy), and Joseph Es- calante (Tanya); sisters-in-law, Kathy Escalante, Mary Es- calante, Julia Glover, Paulette Wanser and Gloria Escalante; cousin, Jodie Hines; special friend, Larry Murphy; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, co-workers and ex- tended family and friends.

MR. LLOYD MELVIN TOWNSEND
Mr. Lloyd Melvin Townsend, 86, passed away in his sleep on Friday, July 15, 2022. Lloyd was born in Maxton, NC on August 29, 1935, to Fred and Bessie Townsend. He left Maxton at the age of 16 for Norfolk, VA and lived in New York as well as Tampa Florida.
Lloyd married Loretta Sim- mons in October of 1958. To- gether they raised 4 children. Amongst his many accomplish- ments, Lloyd served in the Ko- rean War and was a successful businessman owning a number of car dealerships including Lloyd Townsend Auto Sales. Lloyd loved spending his time gardening and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, James Coy Townsend, James Campbell, Katie Lee Moore, and Fred Townsend Jr.
Lloyd was survived by his four children, Brigitte Carol Fowlers, Lloyd Melvin Townsend Jr., Curtis Townsend (Maria), and Garrett Townsend (Robyn); grand-children, Chanel Shayla Nicole Delaney, Ashley Lauren Ayala (Walter), Jasmine Sierra Ware, Alexander Elan Fowlers, Garrett Caleb Townsend (Kar- lie), Romando Curtis Townsend, and Jaden Perez; great-grand- children, Rylan Ajani Barkley, Alexa Kataleya Ayala, Lucas Cruz Skywalker Ayala, Sofia Gray Ayala, and Spring Mayzlee Townsend; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

SIS. WRINNIE MAE JOHNSON
Sis. Wrinnie Mae Johnson passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, July 19, 2022, 11 a.m. at New Friendship Missionary Bap- tist Church, 3201 E. Lake Avenue Tampa, FL 33610, with Rev. Dr. Kendrix J. Gardner, Senior Pastor, Officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Sister Wrinnie was born in Clayton, AL on February 10, 1940. She attended the public schools of Barbour County, AL. As a young adult, she relocated to Tampa, FL and it was then she became a mem- ber of New Friendship M.B. Church and later met and married her husband, Deacon Waymond Johnson. She was a member of the Deaconess board and various Usher boards. Sis Johnson was very active in her church and loved her church family. Wrinnie John- son was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a genuine kind and loving person.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Annie Maude Gant; sisters, Annie Gant, Virginia Gant, Nettie Jewel Brackins, and Elizabeth Bouyer; brother, Royal Gant Jr; children, Sandra Ball and Waymond Johnson Jr.; and nephew, Earl Clark Sr.
She is survived by her hus- band, Waymond Nathaniel John- son Sr.; children, Clarissa Lofton (Reginald), Justine Gant, Clarence Guinyard Jr (Andrea), Angeletta Johnson Robinson, Patricia Curbelo (Jorge), Beverley John- son, and Rosalyn Beasley (Charles); god-daughter, Chynna Washington; sisters, Deresa Glenn (George), Maude Johnson (Jerome), and Almisha Upshaw (Leo); brothers-in-law, Henry Brackins and Amos Bouyer; grand-children, Deaundra, Shayla, PJ, Suzanne, Tracey, Jamel, Starr, Jason, Maurice, Clarence III, Tarence, Dushawn, Qaseem, Unique, Nikki, Donnie, Corey, Shawn, Tanza, Ashley, and Robert; great grandchildren, Cameron, Carmelo, Samia, Jaquon, Corey, Jayden, Zy’kiria, Taylor, Lauryn, Bryce, Jordyn, Jamel Jr, Ja’kease, Aiden, Terrence, Ah’Myr, Celiyah, Alayia, and Tarence Jr; nieces and nephews, Casina, Earl Jr, Taija, Taniyah, Vassay, Tina, Felicia, Greg and Shawn; close family friend, Oliver Whitehead; New Friendship M.B.
