A fire Saturday morning at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3402 E. Deleuil, has been called acci- dental and attributed to an electrical branch. The esti- mated damage of the fire is $25,000 --- $20,000 to the building and $5,000 to the contents.
According to Tampa Fire Rescue (TFR), the fire oc- curred inside the Pastor’s of- fice where a series of multi-plug adapters were on a single branch unit that over- loaded the circuit.
Mayor Bob Buckhorn
came out on Saturday to view the damages, a parishioner said.
Tampa Fire Rescue cut off the electrical power to the building, but that didn’t ham- per the worship service.
