Request for Proposals
Disposition of Vacant City-Owned Property
The City of Tampa ("City") gives notice pursuant to Part III, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, of the request for submission of proposals for the sale of vacant City-Owned Properties.
The properties are located at: 1711 W. Atkinson Ave., 4003 E. Grove St., 3203 N. 47th St., 1809 E. 21st Ave. Each property will be sold separately and is being sold on an “As Is” basis. The Proposer is required to make a firm offer for the Property, submit an earnest money deposit equaling 5% of the offered purchase price, and provide a completed and signed Land Sales Agreement and Project Proposal Form on the forms provided by the City. The earnest money deposit will only be processed if the City approves the proposal for the purchase of the Property. Upon acceptance of the Proposal by the City and approval of execution of the Land Sales Agreement by the Tampa City Council, the Proposer shall be required to pay the balance of the purchase price at closing as provided in the Land Sales Agreement.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit proposals that are consistent with applicable laws, ordinances and regulations governing the location.
All Proposers must submit the City of Tampa Project Proposal Form, earnest money deposit and a completed and signed Land Sales Agreement within 30 days of the date of publication of this advertisement or by May 6, 2016, 4:00p.m., whichever is later, to the City of Tampa Purchasing Department, 306 E. Jackson Street-2E, Tampa, Florida 33602. Mark the outside of the sealed envelope “RFP Disposition of Vacant City-Owned Property Located at: (address of property)”.
To obtain a City of Tampa Project Proposal Form, a Land Sales Agreement form and other information applicable to the Project, you may access the City website at http://www.tampagov.net/real-estate. If a Proposer would like a Proposal package to be sent via U.S. mail, the Proposer should contact the Real Estate Division by calling (813) 274-7232.
In selecting a proposal, the City is not bound to make the award on the basis of the highest monetary offer. It is the City’s goal to strengthen the mission and stability of the residential community. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, either in whole or in part, with or without cause, waive any informality of any proposals, cancel this request for proposals, and to make the award in the best interest of the City, subject to City Council approval.
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT INVITATION TO BID
The SCHOOL BOARD OF HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Florida, seeks sealed bids from qualified bidders for two parking expansion projects. Project scopes provide for expanding the parking lot at Steinbrenner High School and expanding/upgrading bus parking capacity at Plant City Airport Road in Hillsborough County, Florida with estimated project costs between $250,000 and $1,700,000. Separate bid documents will be issued for each project, and separate bid responses are required.
Qualified firms can submit bids to the Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) Procurement Department on the 3rd Floor of the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center (ROSSAC), 901 East Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33602, until bid opening at the times indicated below.

HCPS will host non-mandatory pre-bid conferences and site visits at the dates, times and locations indicated above. Attendees must sign in and present a photo ID to gain access to the conference and site visits.
The bid documents include bid submittal requirements and identify requirements for bid security, surety bonds, and insurance. The successful bidder must provide evidence of required insurance prior to proceeding with the work. HCPS maintains general requirements applicable to all construction-related bids on the HCPS web site.
Bidders are subject to the HCPS Small Business Encouragement Program, as described in the bid documents.
Bidders may obtain a complete set of bid documents in PDF format via HCPS Vendor Bid system at http://www.vendorbid.net/hillsborough.
HCPS reserves the right to award the bid to the lowest and/or best responsible bidder, to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid, or to reject any and all bids received.
