Man Charged In Beating Of Pregnant Woman
Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s deputies arrested a man for allegedly beating a preg- nant woman.
On Wednesday at 5:20 a. m., deputies said Ladarius Adam Lewis, 23, went to the residence of a 22-year-old woman who lived in the 1,000 block of Morris Bridge Road.
Deputies said when Lewis arrived, he forced his way into the residence by breaking out the glass in the the front door. Once inside, deputies said Lewis began striking the pregnant victim with his hands and feet. The victim and her three roommates ran into a back bedroom, where they were followed by Lewis. In- side the bedroom, Lewis re- portedly continued to hit the pregnant victim, and at one point, two of the victim’s roommates.
The women eventually es- caped the room and the victim fled to a neighbor’s house. She ran into the home, and Lewis

chased her inside and report- edly continued to strike her.
Deputies arrived and ar- rested Lewis. He has been charged with burglary of a dwelling with assault or bat- tery, false imprisonment, ag- gravated battery on a pregnant female, and battery.
The victim is 7 months pregnant, and was hospital- ized for treatment.
Deputies said Lewis is the father of the unborn child.
Man Who Fatally Wounded Rapper Claims Self-Defense

The Haines City Police De- partment is investigating the death of a man shot and killed last Saturday after an argu- ment. The man accused of the killing told police he was de- fending himself.
According to the Haines City Police Department, Jonathan Lee Jordan, 31, died at a local hospital after being shot. Jor- dan was also known as J- Green, a popular rapper. Jordan would have celebrated his 32nd birthday on Septem- ber 26th.
The shooting took place around 8 p.m., just east of Cook Field, on North 10th Street.
Police said Jordan was in- volved in an argument with Deryke Dennard, 38, of Lake Alfred. Dennard al- legedly shot Jordan once fol- lowing the argument.
Police interviewed Den- nard, but have not filed any charges against him, and said he claimed self-defense.
As the investigation contin- ues, police are asking any wit- nesses to the shooting to come forward. The State Attorney’s Office is also conducting an in- vestigation to determine if any charges will be filed.

Teenager Arrested On Numerous Charges
On Sunday, September 25th, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a teenager on numerous charges.
According to reports, at 7:05 p. m., a deputy attempted to make a stop on a vehicle he saw committing a traffic viola- tion at Turkey Creek Road and Charleston Avenue in Plant City. The driver failed to yield and traveled into a private driveway.
The driver and passenger fled on foot in opposite direc- tions. The deputy caught the passenger, who was not iden- tified because he was charged with misdemeanor charges.
During the course of the in- vestigation, Reece Disalvo, 15 and not yet in custody, was identified as the driver, and the vehicle had been reported stolen.
On September 26th, deputies responded to 3511 Popes Trail Lane, in Plant City in reference to a burglary that had just occurred. Prior to the arrival of the deputies, the sus- pect fled the residence on foot. Deputies were given a descrip- tion of the suspect, and deputies set up a perimeter as K-9 and other officials

searched the area. While on the scene, deputies deter- mined the suspect also bur- glarized a residence at 3507 Popes Trail Lane.
While deputies were inves- tigating the burglaries, they received a call of a suspicious person at 4807 Goff Road. The description of the suspicious person matched the descrip- tion of the burglary suspect.
Deputies responded, and took Disalvo into custody. He was charged with grand theft third degree, grand theft of a firearm, grand theft motor ve- hicle, armed burglary of a dwelling, grand theft from a dwelling and resisting an offi- cer without violence.
Police Investigating Shooting At Gentlemen’s Club
Tampa Police are investigat- ing the shooting of a man at the Goodies Nightclub, 1948 East Hillsborough Avenue.
The victim’s name has not been released, but police said early Thursday morning, a man was shot in the upper leg. He
has been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
No one has been arrested in the shooting, and no suspect information has been released.
The offense is currently being investigated by police.
Teenagers Arrested For Vehicle Burglaries
On September 25th at 10:54 p. m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies reported that Eros Medrano-Romero, 18, and Kendale Scurlark, 16, entered several vehicles with the intent to deprive the vic- tim’s of their possessions. While in the vehicles, Medrano-Romero and Scurlark reportedly took sev- eral items and exited the vehi- cles.
Deputies said Medrano- Romero and Scurlark had ski masks, a beanie, and gloves, along with identified property taken from the vehicles. When
deputies attempted to make contact with the teenagers, they fled.
Scurlark was found hiding in the backyard of a residence and was arrested after climb- ing over a fence.
After an extensive search, Medrano-Romero was also found and taken into custody. Deputies said they also found a black bag containing property taken during the burglary as well as gloves and a hat.
Medrano-Romero and Scurlark were both charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and other charges.
School Employee Arrested After Impregnating 14-Year-Old Student
A 31-year-old Manatee County School employee was arrested after he allegedly im- pregnated a 14-year-old girl. He was booked into the Mana- tee County Jail and was placed under a $55,000 bond.
According to police, Lam- ount Houston, who worked at Lincoln Middle School, re- signed from his job. He worked with students with excessive absences.
He was charged with sexual battery of a child between the ages of 12 and 18; lewd and las- civious molestation of a child between the ages of 12 and 16; and child abuse of someone older than 21 years impregnat- ing a child under the age of 16.

ship with the girl in May. They began texting each other and Houston picked her up once in June and again several weeks later. Both times, they had sex.
