MR. JAMES
ALPHONSO CLARDY, SR.
Homegoing celebration for Mr. James Alphonso Clardy, Sr. of Tampa, who passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, will be held on Sat- urday, August 22, 2015, at 11 a. m. at New Hope Mission- ary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Rev. Dr. T. W. Jenkins, pastor, with Minis- ter Robert Glass, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
James was born in Greenville County, South Carolina, on December 23, 1935, to the union of the late Bennie Clardy and Leila Johnson Clardy.
“Alphonso,” as he was af- fectionately called, was one of 4 children. His Christian journey started at Moores Chapel United Methodist Church.
After completing his edu- cation in the Greenville County Public Schools, he re- located from South Carolina to Tampa, where he started his life-long career and fam- ily.
James was a dedicated and faithful member of New Hope M. B. Church for over 40 years, where he served on Usher Board #2 and sang in the Male Chorus.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Ben- jamin Clardy.
He leaves to celebrate his life and continue his legacy: his wife, Barbara Clardy; 3 daughters, Linda McDaniel (Jimmy, Sr.), Marie Mc- Daniel (Steve), and Frances Durham, all of Greenville, SC, and son, James Alphonso Clardy, Jr., (Shavette); 2 sis- ters, Evelyn Clardy Berry of Mauldin, SC, and Elaine Clardy Chapman of Roxbury, MA; 4 nieces, Valerie Berry Chatman (Michael) of Greenville, SC, Ramona Chapman and Esselena Chapman of Boston, MA, and Betty Ann Chapman of Philadelphia, PA; nephew, Pastor Cornelius Sebastian Berry (Cassandra) of Ma- comb Township, MI; 6 grand- children, Elder Melvin Anthony Durham of Chicago, IL, Jimmy McDaniel, Jr. of Greenville, SC, Jermaine Mc- Daniel of Greenville, SC, and Antone, Aniya and Avion Gadsden, all of Tampa; a de- voted cousin, Larvenia Pep- per; other special first cousins, all of South Car- olina; as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews and great grandchildren.
The visitation will be Fri- day, August 21, 2015, at New Hope M. B. Church from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive
friends from 6-7 p. m.

Columbus Drive, Pastor Larry Roundtree, II, officiating. The internment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
James was born on July 18, 1936, in Verbana, AL, to Lonnie Deramus and Rosie Lee Motley Deramus.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lonnie Dera- mus and Rosie Motley; and his brothers, Paul Deramus, Willie Fred Deramus, Lonnie Deramus, Jr. and Charles Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, James Deramus, Jr. of Tampa; daughter, Cassandra Dera- mus, Tampa; 3 grandchil- dren, Chiquita Deramus, Jemease Deramus and Jef- fery Walker, all of Tampa; 4 great grandchildren, Jalen Moore, Jahmari Smith, Zy- heim Walker and Zyeire Walker, all of Tampa; sisters, Nettie DeJarnette of Worch- ester, MA, Carolyn Miller of Worchester, MA, Ruth Van- diver of Montgomery, AL, Es- telle (Jerry) Watkins of Verbena, AL, and Sadie (Marcellus) Tyus of Verbena, AL; brothers, William (Gwendolyn) Taylor of Ver- bena, AL, and Robert Taylor of Worchester, MA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

MRS. MARTHA LONG PEEPLES
Homegoing for Mrs. Martha Long Peeples, who passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2015, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Aikens Fu- neral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Minister Olivia Harri- son, officiating.
Martha Long was born Au- gust 17, 1922, to the parents of Joe and Viola (Hinson) Long in Cottondale, FL. Martha was one of eight chil- dren; six of her siblings pre- ceded her in death; including her twin sister, Mary.
Martha relocated to Tampa at an early age. Later in life she married Bernard Peeples and to this union one daughter, Arlesia (Lisa) was born. Lisa preceded her mother in death, but left a beautiful brown skinned son, Bernardo Ricardo Richard- son. Martha’s grandson was the joy of her life and gave her the will to fight the fight to see him become a well- rounded young man.
She accepted Christ early in life and before her health failed, worshipped at the New Salem Missionary Bap- tist Church.
Martha's home was always the gathering place for family and friends. She always made a place for a brother or sister or friends to lay their heads.
Before her health failed, Martha could be found in the kitchen preparing a feast on Sundays. On holidays, her home was where family would get together and break bread.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing: her grandson, Bernardo Richardson (his friend, Simone Brazell); sis- ter, Viola D. White; brother, Eddie Long; a special nephew, Charles Long (Fele- cia); several nieces, Olivia Harrison, Roslyn Clemons, M. Diane Long, Brenda Cogdell (Matthew), Ethel Long Catlin, Sharon Long Anderson (Lester), and Karen Long; many more great nieces and nephews; goddaughter, Beverly; and caring neighbors and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 21, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. The family will re- ceive friends from 5:30-6:30 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.

MRS. BEVERY JEAN WALKER-MONROE
Mrs. Beverly Jean Walker- Monroe, 63, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
A celebration of life Me- morial Service for her will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015,at2p.m.atNewHope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Tampa, 33610, with Minister James Richardson, officiat- ing.
Beverly was a native of Tampa, and was born on Au- gust 10, 1952. She was edu- cated by the School District of Hillsborough County. She attended and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School, with the class of 1971. She furthered her education at the University of South Florida, where she received her B. S. Degree in Criminal Justice. She was formerly employed with the Hillsbor- ough County Social Services Agency for 35 years, until her retirement in 2011.
Her family initially at- tended Greater Bethel Bap- tist Church for many years, prior to her membership with her current church fam- ily of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, of which she had been a member for many years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lewis and Melvina Walker; and sister, Thelma Floyd.
She leaves to cherish fond memories of her: two very devoted sons, Richard L. Monroe. Jr. and Reginald L. Monroe, Sr.; eight grandchil- dren, Brianna Monroe, Richard A. Monroe, Aryanna Monroe, Mykaila Monroe, Amya Monroe and Reginald L. Monroe, Jr., Jasmine Toledo, Joshua Toledo and their mother, Latisha Smith; a special friend, Zannie Black; and a host of other sorrowing family members, including the Boddon, Pilch- ers, Gray, Harris, Howard, Monroe, Richardson, Tim- mons, White and Wimberly families, that will sorely miss her.
She always had a smile for anyone in her midst and loved spending time being a doting grandmother.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING.

MRS. CLARETHA RENEE HARRIS (RITA)
The homegoing service for Mrs. Claretha Renee Harris (Rita) will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11 a. m. at New Progress Missionary Baptist Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn, with the pas- tor, E. J. Williams, officiat- ing. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mrs. Claretha Renee Har- ris (Rita) was born January 15, 1948, in Tampa, to the late Authur and Thelma Harris.
She attended Middleton High School, class of 1967.
At an early age, Rita ac- cepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She was a faithful member at New Progress M. B. Church. She worked for several seafood companies throughout the Tampa Bay area.
On Saturday, August 15, 2015, her spirit was set free to a place of peace, love and tranquility.
She was preceded in death by: her son, Bertrand Broad- nax; sisters, Leola Lewis (Roy), and Mary Harris- Humphrey (Lewis); and brother, Leroy Harris (Sherry).
She leaves to cherish her memory: devoted and loving sons, Ulysses Harris and wife, Lana, and Shannon King (Toshiba); daughter, Anita King; brothers, Jerome Harris (Evonne), and Willie Thomas (Patricia); sisters, Betty Lowe and Willie Mae Thomas; grandchildren, J’- Carrien, Shannon, Jr., Ulysses, Jr., Shaquille, Jo’- Marcus, Lyfe, Ulesia, Shan- ice, Shannon, JaCayla, Ulyana, Shaniquia, and the late Denerio Harris; great grandchildren, Carmoni, Ramiah, Haley, Keywon, Aaron, Peyton, Jamie and Jon; nieces, Tonya, Reva, Lukie and Tasha; and a host of family and friends.
The visitation for Mrs. Claretha Renee (Rita) Harris will be held Friday evening, August 21, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 5002 N. 40th Street, Tampa, 33610. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p. m.
The processional at the church will arrange at 10:45 a. m.
