Police said there are con- cerns about their safety, and a missing child alert was issued Thursday for Noemi Olivares, 13, and Claudia Olivares, 9, who have not attended school since March 11th. They were last seen with their mother, Hidalia Bernal-Reyes, 30, at their res- idence in the friendship Village Mobile Home Park, police said.
The family has not had con- tact with friends or family since the weekend, and police said that is very unusual. Bernal- Reyes has legal custody of the children.

Bernal-Reyes did not attend the meeting, and officers returned Thursday and reported here were no signs of the mother of children.
Bernal-Reyes’ vehicle was at the home and a note and her cell phone were inside. Police are trying to determine if Bernal-Reyes wrote the note.
Bernal Reyes’ husband Roman Olivares, was arrested in September on a charge of lewd and lascivious behavior and is being held in the Sarasota County Jail. Bernal-Reyes is considered to be a witness in the case.
Sarasota Police Chief, Bernadette DiPino said the mother and children could be out of the country as Bernal- Reyes is a native of Mexico and not a U. S. citizen.
An Amber Alert was not is- sued because police said there was no evidence of an abduction.
The missing child alert from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement described Noemi as 5 feet tall weighing 80 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Claudia was described as 4’8” tall weighing 60 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Bernal-Reyes was described as 5’4” tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
