David Morgan, the father of Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, was arrested Tuesday morning on attempted murder charges after allegedly firing a gun out- side a gentlemen's club in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
According to a police report obtained by the Herald, Mor- gan "allegedly fired several shots at an employee of the Crazy Horse club after Mor- gan had been removed from sitting on the stage." Mor- gan's shots missed the victim, who said he fired back in retal- iation.
Morgan was struck in the shoulder during the melee, and police later arrested him at a local hospital. His wounds are not considered serious.
Police charged Morgan with attempted murder and posses- sion of a weapon during a vio- lent crime—both felonies. The attempted murder charge car-

Morgan spent the majority of Clowney's childhood in prison, most notably because of a conviction for burglary and other crimes in 1995. The pair have bonded since Morgan's release from prison.

Former NBA Star Tells How He Lost $108M Fortune
Antoine Walker has be- come a posterboy for squan- dering a pro sports fortune. The former NBA star famously earned $108 million over his successful NBA career, but re- tired almost penniless. Two years after leaving the NBA, Walker filed for bankruptcy.
Walker is the former boyfriend of Evelyn Lozado, when she debut as a ‘Basket- ball Wife’.
Theories for his financial fallout abound. Rumors swirled of Walker's intense gambling habits, as well as his tendency to give money to his relatives.
But Walker revealed to CNN Money that the truth is far simpler -- and more under- standable: his investments went belly-up.
Walker had invested heavily into real estate, he tells CNN, and at maybe the worst time in history to be doing so.
Compounding those failures was that Walker borrowed money against his own per- sonal collateral. Walker, who played for the Boston Celtics in his prime, also won an NBA

championship with the Miami Heat.
His story has become a cau- tionary tale that the NBA teaches to incoming rookies at an annual rookie camp de- signed to instill better spending habits and to help those players make better decisions as pro- fessional athletes.
Walker, to his credit, has put himself back together fi- nancially. He now works for Morgan Stanley as a financial adviser to help athletes avoid making his same mistakes.
Texans RB Arian Foster Hurts Groin; Surgery Friday
HOUSTON -- Texans run- ning back Arian Foster will have surgery for a groin injury he suffered during the team's first fully padded training camp practice, a source said.
Foster likely will miss the start of the regular season. He could be placed on short-term injured reserve, which would allow the Texans to bring him back to practices after Week 6 and into a game after Week 8.
Mayweather Confirms Via Social Media He Will Fight Last Fight Against Andre Berto
ARIAN FOSTER
Andre Berto has done nothing to earn a champi- onship fight, let alone a crack at the man who is boxing's biggest star in what will pur- portedly be his final fight.
None of that matters much to Floyd Mayweather, though, who on Tuesday con- firmed via social media one of the worst-kept secrets in sports: He'll meet Berto on Sept. 12 at the MGM Grand Garden in a pay-per-view bout distributed by Showtime.
Mayweather's six-fight contract with Showtime ex- pires after the Berto fight, and he insists that he's plan- ning to retire upon its conclu- sion. If he wins, as expected,
Mayweather would be 49-0. With a swank new arena open- ing on the Las Vegas Strip in April, speculation has been rampant that Mayweather would love to be the opening act in the new building.
But Mayweather says the Berto fight will be it, new arena or not, 50-0 or not.
Berto began his career 27-0 and won a version of the wel- terweight title in the process. But he was coddled at every step along the way and had the benefit of favorable match- making, which helped him to not only win a world title, but to become a wealthy man in the process.
