Crime
Men Charged With Armed Robbery
RYAN ANTONIO ANDERSON BERRIOS
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men with the armed robbery of a Largo restaurant. The men were arrested in Manatee County last week.
According to police, when Ryan Anderson, 31, and 26- year-old Antonio Berrios were taken into custody by the Palmetto Police Department, both men were dressed in all black. They were arrested after they allegedly entered the Burger King, held the store manager at gunpoint, and robbed the business.
Detectives said Anderson and Berrios are charged with the armed robbery of a Burger King in Largo on September 26th. The men are alleged to have attempted to rob a Burger King in Largo on October 3rd, but were unsuccessful.
Police said the suspects may be responsible for five other armed robberies at area Burger King Restaurants that began in June and have continued. The robberies occurred in Tampa and Pinellas Park.
In the most recent robbery, the suspects entered the Burger King Restaurant, 3575 East Bay Drive, in Largo.
Once inside the business and armed with handguns, both suspects climbed over the counter and forced the restau- rant manager into the office at gunpoint. The suspects de- manded access to the safe and obtained cash and fled on foot.
The suspects were described as two black males wearing long sleeve black shirts, black pants, black shoes, black cotton ski masks, and gloves on their hands. One of the suspects was described as being approxi- mately 5’10” tall, thin build, 160 lbs., armed with a handgun. The second man was described as being slightly shorter than suspect one.
Anderson and Berrios were transported to the Mana- tee County Jail and will be transferred to the Pinellas County Jail. Both men are resi- dents of St. Petersburg.
The investigation is continu- ing.
