MR. HORACE DUDLEY PETTY
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Horace Dudley Petty, of Tampa, FL., who passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 10:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Apostle Al Gallon, officiating.
Horace was born on De- cember 27, 1960, in Tampa, FL., to Mary Lee Petty. Horace attended Robinson High School, where he ran track and was an overall athlete. He had a love for basketball, and football with his favorite team being the Chicago Bears.
He worked for the Tampa Housing Authority for years and his last job being employed with Philly Swirl. He was a hard worker and will be missed very much.
He was preceded in death by: his twin, Howard Petty; brother, Edward Anderson; sis- ter, Rena M. Vance, and grand- mother, Corrine Johnson.
He leaves precious memo- ries with: his children, Denise Petty-Floyd (Sedric), Priscilla Petty, Tiffani Petty and Horace Petty, Jr.; grandchildren, Samuel Petty, Synovia Petty, Trevonne Moyd, Jada Floyd, Jahmari Lafontant, Dallas Powell, and D’Ari Rowell; great grandchildren, Legend Petty, Samuel Petty, Jr., Hakeem Moyd and Skylar Bea; mother, Mary Lee Petty; brothers, Eddie B. Johnson, Jessie Lee Johnson, Leon Anderson, and Toby Gamble (Valentine); sis- ters, Juanita Jenkins, Josie An- derson, and BobbieJean Petty; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a very special friend, Jack Leslie.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, May 27th, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service.

ALTHERIE WILCOX
A Celebration of the Life Ms. Altherie Wilcox invested in her community will be held Saturday May 28, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Har- mon Funeral Home, 5002 North 40th Street Tampa, Florida, 33610, with Apostle Otis Cooper, pastor of Trevail and Triumph Ministries, officiating.
Ms. Altherie Wilcox, also known as Candy by her family and friends, was born September 22, 1945, in Tampa, Florida to the late Vera Hooker and Bernice Wilcox. Her stepfather Albert Hooker, Sr., raised her.
She came to Christ as a young person. She and her family were members of the Firstborn Church Of The Living God, where she ac- cepted Christ as their personal Savior. Altherie loved to listen to music; she loved cooking and family living. She is well known in the community of Lake Avenue and 29th Street. Many looked to her for motherly love and guid- ance.
Ms. Wilcox was preceded in death by: her mother, Vera Hooker; father, Bernice Wilcox; stepfather, Albert Hooker, Sr.; stepfather; grandparents, Leve- nia Allen, Chancey Allen, and Richard Burgess; brothers Louis Covington, Theophilus Burgess, and Edward Moses, Jr.; brother- in-law, Terry Butler; sister, Luve- nia Butler; aunts, Mary Brown, and Catherine Heath; uncle Alonzo Heath, and Chester Hooker.
She leaves to cherish her lov- ing memories: her son Eric K. Batts and wife, Tammy; sisters, Deborah Hearn, Skyreal Hooker; brother Albert Hooker, Jr.; nieces, Vera Lovett, Ashley But- ler, Mercedes Ingram, Portia Hooker, Edwina Dupree, La Toya Moses; nephews, Reginald Butler, Sr., wife, Jessica, Franco Lovett, Vincent Butler, Akeem Hooker, Anthony Green, Myan Hooker; a host of cousins Lavern and Alecia Buchanon; lots of other relatives and friends from Lake City and King St., South Carolina.
Friends are invited to arrive at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday for then Homegoing Service. A Harmon Burial.

John Henry Wallace, Sr., was born July 6,1950, in Blakely, Georgia, to the late Lonnie Mae Bennett and Lemon Wallace, Sr. He attended public schools in Hillsborough County, and he was a retired truck driver.
John was preceded in death by: Lonnie Mae (mom), Lemon, Sr., (dad), Tameka (daughter), Telly (stepson), Terrance (step- son), Lemon, Jr., (brother), Annie Pearl (stepmom), Willie C. (brother), Ruby (aunt), Willie F. (brother).
John leaves to cherish his memories: Dianne; ex-wife, Bev- erly; friend/stepmom of his kids, his kids; LaShawn, John Henry, Jr., Rhonda, Travis, Shaikeala (daughter-in-law), April; step- daughter, Avis Warren; step- daughter, Ben Baisden; stepson, siblings; Jimmy, Bennett, Frankie, Earlene, Irene; grand- kids; 31, great grandkids; 39, host of nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and 3 very dear longtime friends Terry, Benny, James and Cynthia Sharpe.

Mother Emma Black passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2:00 p.m. at Exciting Faith Alive, 5705 E. 32nd Avenue, Tampa FL 33619 with Pastor Antonio R. Hawkins, Officiating. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mother Black was born May 25, 1933, to the union of Henry and Lola Godwin. She was born in Marianna, Florida, but moved to Tampa and began her life with her husband, the late Deacon Oliver Black, Sr., and to this union was born 9 children. Mother Black enjoyed providing for her family and ensuring her home was well kept. She was a founding member of Exciting Faith Alive Church, under her loving Pastor Antonio R. Hawkins. She served faithfully within the ministry as a Mother, until her health began to fail.
Mother Black was preceded in death by: her husband of 58 years, Deacon Oliver Black, Sr.; parents; daughter, Marrian Brickhouse; sister, Bessie Wil- son; Mary Louise Peterson, Mary Lizzie, Catherin Godwin, Laredell Godwin, Patrick God- win, and Thomas Godwin.
She leaves to cherish her lov- ing and fond memories with: 5 daughters, Margaret Black, Mae Bennett, Emma Black, Versie Oliver (Douglas), and Vennessa Black; 3 sons, Oliver Black, Jr. (Stephanie), James Black, and Elisaha Black, Sr. (Tamika), all of Tampa FL; grandchildren; Lucretia, Fevvie, Tasha, Silas, Audrey, Darrain, Charles, Sr., Charles, III, Arneathia, Yas- meen, Andrew, Donte, Tiffany, Deanna, Antonio, Marcus, Lak- isha, Sylvia, Earleatha, Sheena, Denise, Rickey, Rashard, Leti- cia, Shantay, Ashley, Calvin, Sherika, Elisaha, Jr., Dontae, Ryan, Gregory, George, all of Tampa ,FL; her beloved Pastor, Antonio R.
