Beware Of Lottery Scam Run By Jamaican Crime Ring;
Family Murdered
KINGSTON, Jamaica — At- tackers killed six members of the same family and set their clapboard home on fire in northern Jamaica, and the se- curity minister on Friday linked the massacre to the island’s in- ternational lottery scam crime rings.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force said the dead in the Log- wood section of Hanover parish included two teenagers and a 62-year-old man. The bodies were found in the rubble of the burned house. Four other occu- pants of the home were being treated for burns, with two re- ported in critical condition
National Security Minister Peter Bunting linked the killings to Jamaican scam rings that generally prey on elderly people in the United States by coercing money from them after tricking victims into thinking they won a lottery.
Kids Don’t Have Anything Better To Do: Teen Badly Burned After
Playing Dangerous Facebook ‘Fire Challenge Game’
PINE HILLS, FL. -A teen badly burned trying to per- form a dangerous game known online as a "fire chal- lenge" is now on life support at Arnold Palmer Hospital, ac- cording to his family.
Robert Seals, 15, will be flown to Cincinnati on Tues- day for treatment of his severe burns, his aunt, Lisa Oliphant, said.
"All his skin is off, arms peeled, hair burnt," said Oliphant, who watched an- other teen light her nephew on fire Monday around 7 p.m. near their home on Forestdale Drive in Orlando. "I see the lit- tle boy walk up and gush something on him and then flick. I see the little flick, and then my nephew's running down the street on fire."
Orange County deputies said Seals has burns on 20 percent of his body, but is in stable condition after neigh- borhood teens were playing a "fire challenge" seen all over the Internet. In cases all over the country, videos show peo- ple dousing themselves with a flammable liquid, then setting themselves on fire before put- ting out the flames. Instead, the dangerous trend has sent people to the hospital.
Esther Ruiz lives in the neighborhood and said, "I'm

scared for my daughter to be playing out here knowing kids are lighting other kids on fire. It just doesn't make sense to me."
In this case, deputies said Seals doused himself with rubbing alcohol, then dared a friend to light a match and put it to his clothes.
For the time being, deputies do not plan to arrest the other teen who lit Seals
on fire.
"That's crazy, but he still
should be held accountable," said Oliphant of the other teen. "He did bodily harm and the boy's big enough to know right from wrong."
Released Video Shows College Student Was Tased In Groin Before Death In Jail
CHATHAM COUNTY, GA - - New video shows a Georgia deputy tasering a restrained, mentally ill man in the groin just hours before he was found dead, still strapped to a jail cell chair.
Chatham County Sheriff's deputies Jason Kenny and Maxine Evans and jail nurse Gregory Brown were charged with involuntary manslaughter after 22-year- old Matthew Ajibade’s Jan- uary death.
The college student, who suffered from bipolar disorder, was found dead handcuffed in an isolated cell early on Jan. 2. He was taken into custody after a domestic violence dis- turbance call on New Year’s Day after he allegedly hit his girlfriend. He became combat- ive during booking at the Chatham County jail in Savan- nah and broke a deputy’s nose, officials said.

Most of the minute-long video’s audio is garbled, but Ajibade is heard screaming after the taser went off. The 22-year-old was later found unresponsive in the chair.

City Councilman Tased And Arrested By Same Cop That Arrested Sandra Bland
PRAIRIE VIEW, TX --A Texas city councilman was stunned with a Taser while on his knees and then arrested outside his Prairie View home Thursday night — by police from the same department re- sponsible for the arrest of Sandra Bland, who was found dead in her jail cell this summer.
The arrest involved a Prairie View cop – one of the city's six-officer force – with ties to Bland's arrest alongside Texas Department of Public Safety in July, authorities con- firmed.
Newly-elected Council- man Jonathan Miller iden- tified himself as an elected official while stepping between Prairie View cops confronting four of his fraternity brothers practicing a step routine, local reports said.
The 29-year-old’s creden- tials, which includes a vote to rename a street in Bland's honor, didn’t prevent what Miller’s friend described as another example of excessive force in the Houston suburb.
“It went from me asking questions to me basically being put face down on the ground,” Miller told KHOU- TV.

The officer involved in Thursday’s arrest was not identified by Prairie View Po- lice Chief Larry Johnson, but he said it was probable that officers in the small force would appear in other inci- dents.
Bland was found hanging in a Waller County jail cell on July 13, three days after her ar- rest. She was pulled over by a Texas state trooper for al- legedly failing to use her turn signal, leading to a confronta- tion over a cigarette.
The only other officer in- volved with Bland's arrest was a cop backing up Trooper Brian Encinia during the traffic stop.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA --- A group of white men and women who drove trucks fly- ing huge rebel flags to a black child's birthday party near At- lanta have been charged with terrorist threats and gang ac- tivity, prosecutors announced Monday.
Fifteen members of a group called Respect the Flag drove around Douglasville, Georgia with multiple Confederate flags on each vehicle on July 25. The 10 men and five women drove through a Black neighborhood and then stopped outside a child's birth- day party at about 3:30 p.m.
Party attendees allege that the group threatened the guests with violence and yelled racial epithets.
A Douglas County grand jury charged all 15 defendants with terroristic threats and with violating the state's Street Gang Terrorism and Preven- tion Act.Two men, Joe Hood and Thomas Summers,

Members of Respect the Flag have previously told local media that the crowd at the birthday party initiated the confrontation by throwing rocks. Attendees at the party said the people in the trucks started the trouble.
