‘Baptism At The Park’ Event Brings The Church To The Community
Committed to impacting Tampa area neighborhoods, Impact Church of Tampa hosts, “Baptism at the Park,” a free community event to be held on Saturday, October 31st.
All are welcome to participate in this “come as you are” event. People from the community are invited to come out and get baptized and also enjoy a time of fun and games before and after the baptisms. Children are also invited to attend and receive free candy giveaways.
“We believe our role is to bring the church to people, and not wait for people to come to the church,” explains the pastor of Impact Church of Tampa, Tom Garrett.
The event will begin at 11 a. m. at Cyrus Greene Park, located at 2101 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. Water baptisms will begin promptly at 2 p. m. Those interested in being baptized should arrive at the Cyrus Greene Pool by 2 p. m. for a special orientation. Mem- bership at Impact Church of Tampa is not re-

quired. Children 13 and under are welcome with parental consent. Those who will be dipped in the pool are encouraged to wear comfortable attire. Attendees can feel free to bring a picnic lunch.

The grand opening will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015, 10 a. m., at 1240 Ray Charles Blvd.
THE REED, named in honor of a Tampa Bay pio- neer, Ms. Essie Mae Reed, is the second and last senior building that residents will call home. This 7-story, 158 units of 1 and 2 bedroom
floor plans, situated on 4 lots, is the third building to be erected upon the ENCORE! development site.
Among those scheduled to participate are: residents of the Encore!, Congress- woman Kathy Castor, Mayor Bob Buckhorn, HUD officials, Banc of Amer- ica officials, Tampa Housing Authority board members, as well as other City and State officials.
