Congratulations to Cornelius Copeland, who graduated from St. Petersburg College and re- ceived an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.
Cornelius will be transferring to Jackson State University on a baseball scholarship. Cornelius will be majoring in Mass Communications and hopes to pursue a career in Sports Broad- casting.

The National Alumni Association of Spelman College, Tampa Bay Area Chapter held its annual Spelbound celebration on August 1st for incoming freshmen at the West Tampa library. The event was well attended and everyone had a great time. (PHOTOS BY JULIA JACKSON)
A huge crowd of family and friends gathered at the Straz Center for the Musical Retirement Ceremony in honor of Dr. Phyllis Tucker-Wicks.
The greeting was given by her twin, Dr. Philethia Tucker-Johnson, and Donna Allen recited Dr. Tucker-Wicks’ life story.
