City Parks & Recreation Centers Host ‘Fall Break Camps’
The City of Tampa will host its “Fall Break Camps” during the week of Novem- ber 20th through November 25th. The purpose of the camps is to provide resi- dents with exciting and af- fordable programming during the school break.
The activities are being offered free at seven of the City’s Parks & Recreation Centers.
Mayor Bob Buckhorn
said, “As we enter the season of giving we are opening our doors to our parks & recre- ation facilities at a free or re-
duced cost. We make safety our main priority and we know that offering these ac- tivities when school is out reduces stress and decisions parents need to make when balancing work and family.”
Beginning on Monday, November 20th through Wednesday, November 22nd, the following centers will be open:
Benito Playground Activity Center, 10065 Cross Creek Road, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.; Forest Hills Community Center, 724 W. 109th Avenue, 7 a.m. until
6 p.m.; Henry & Ola Cen- ter, 502 W. Henry Avenue, 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.; NFL YET Jackson Heights Center, 3310 E. Lake Av- enue, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.; Temple Crest Commu- nity Center, 8116 N. 37th Street, 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.; and Wellswood Center, 4918 E. Osborne Avenue, 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. A Rec- Card is required.
The following Stay & Play Sites will be open from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. They will be open Monday, November 20th, Tuesday, November
21st, Wednesday, November 23rd, and Saturday, Novem- ber 25th.
They are: Copeland Community Center, 11001 N. 15th Street, Tampa, 33612; NFL YET Jackson Heights Center, 3310 E. Lake Avenue; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Center, 2200 N. Oregon Avenue, 33607; and Springfield Community Center, 201 E. Eskimo Avenue, 33604.
The RecCard is required and parents are advised to go to www.tampagov. net/parks to register.
