  Producer Swizz Beatz Graduates From Harvard
 On last Thursday, the famed producer walked across the stage at Harvard University to receive his diploma, while wearing a black suit with “From The Bronx to Harvard” on the back of it.
That phrase, Beatz ex- plained on social media, is going to be the title of an up- coming documentary, but he hasn’t given any further de- tails on the project.
Swizz Beatz is now a Har- vard graduate.
   Kendrick Lamar Is Named ‘Hitmaker Of The Year’
 Kendrick Lamar was one of the artists honored at the first Variety Hitmakers event held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in L.A. Satur- day.
Kendrick was presented with ‘Hitmaker of the Year’, and made a speech in ac- ceptance of the honor.

    Fantasia Releases First Holiday Album ‘Christmas After Midnight’; On Tour
   Spike Lee’s ‘She Gotta Have It’ TV Series Airs November 23 On Netflix
  Fantasia is back with a new album, a new record label and a fresh nationwide tour for the holidays.
The singer not only re- leased her first yuletide album, “Christmas After Midnight.” The set doubles as the first project under her Rock Soul Entertainment banner via Concord Records.
She’ll support the project with a national tour that launched in Dallas on Nov.
Fantasia has released her first holiday album, is now on tour.

“Christmas After Mid-
night” pays homage to singers such as Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, reports Bill- board. The album’s mix of rock, soul, jazz, funk and blues reinterprets 12 tracks.
Fantasia dedicated the album to her grandmother Addie Collins, whose birth- day was on Christmas Day.

 Launching on November 23 on Netflix, Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It the TV series is something you’ve gotta watch. If you haven’t seen the movie, then watch it first, so you will understand where the TV series origi- nated from.
The Lee-directed and De- Wanda Wise-starring show based on Lee’s first feature film.
While full of homages to the 1986 black-and-white
indie classic from the get go, this She’s Gotta Have It is a rare second pass that breathes new life into its up- dated, 21st century story and goes much further than be- fore. With a star revealing herself before us, Under- ground alum Wise hits nothing but high notes as the Republic of Brooklyn-based artist Nola Darling, who is unapologetic but must face up to the consequences of her actions.
  Grandpa Huxtable Of ‘The Cosby Show’ Dies
   Earle Hyman played Russell Huxtable on the Cosby Show.
Earle Hyman, a veteran actor of stage and screen who was widely known for playing Russell Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died.
Hyman died Friday at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey. He was 91.
The TV and film star ap-
peared in 40 episodes over the show’s nine-season run and earned a guest performer Emmy nomination for the role in 1986.
Hyman also voiced Pathro in the 1980s cartoon, Thundercats in 125 episodes, and also appeared in All My Children and The Defenders.
