Trae the Truth is a na- tional treasure. The Houston rapper was interviewed on Fox 26 today for his efforts in res- cuing victims of Hurricane Harvey and he was riding in a boat to help out.
Trae, riding through the flood water, describes how he started saving people with the boat and assisting the fire de- partment with friends to get to victims. When asked why he
was braving the elements, Trae said, “I felt helpless when I had to be rescued, so I know that feeling,” he said.
Helping hurricane victims isn’t the only way that Trae has been giving back this sum- mer. This July, during his 10th annual Trae Day, the Houston rapper donated 75 scholar- ships to students in partner- ship with the Houston Public Library.

After their successful collab- oration in 2015, adidas Skate- boarding and Harlem rapper A$AP Ferg reunite once again for the release of a sec- ond collaborative capsule col- lection featuring an array of apparel pieces and footwear.
The brand new collection, dubbed after Ferg’s debut album Trap Lord, draws inspi- ration from vintage adidas track suits and the gritty New York skating scene.
Bridging the gap between
skate culture and hip-hop, the adidas Skateboarding x Trap Lord collection features a wide range product that includes—a set of brand new adidas Matchcourt sneakers, a wind- breaker, track pants, a vintage soccer jersey, a graphic tee and a dad hat.
With each item from the capsule emblazoned with art- work and branding created by A$AP Ferg, the line serves as a historic connection between skating and hip-hop.
Mathew Knowles youngest daughter, and Bey- once and Solange’s half- sis- ter, Koi, is growing up.
Last week, photos of the adorable little girl on her first day of second grade went viral.
Both Mathew and the child’s mother Taqoya Branscomb seem to keep the girl out of the spotlight. Koi was born in 2010. At the time, he was still legally married to Beyonce and Solange’s mother, Tina.
It was discovered that Mathew had fathered Koi when the Taqoya took Mathew to court, over the pa- ternity of their child and child support. Mathew has yet to speak publicly about Koi. However, Taqoya has spoken out, detailing their relation- ship.

Typically, Cardi B is not G-rated, music or otherwise. But one New York educator is using the rapper’s hit sin- gle, “Bodak Yellow” to help teach kids about geography.
Recently, footage surfaced of teacher, Erica Budding- ton remixing the song for a classroom of students, with a twist. Instead of the regular lyrics, Buddington has in- serted her own educational bars.
“Line it up with the equa- tor it’s not algebra/We’ll turn up the temperature like we’re
in Africa/Honestly pardon me I’ll just give you the data/It’s second to the Earth’s biggest continent yes it’s Asia/Yeah it’s cold so I just put on my Nautica/If I’m trying to trek south end up in Antarctica,” she raps.
Cardi is killing the game right now and is emerging as the breakout artist of 2017. “Bodak Yellow,” which has a strangle hold on the unoffi- cial Song of the Summer title, continues to rise on the Bill- board Hot 100 and currently sits at No. 3 on the chart.
Nicki Minaj is far from a gospel artist, but she still holds God close to her heart. In fact, she recently stated that she lis- tens to “old dancehall and gospel” more than all other types of music.
After tweeting that she wanted to work with holy
songstress Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the powers that be made this historical collabora- tion happen. The two put their voices together on the uplifting track “I’m Getting Ready.”
The song is featured on Tasha’s newly released album Heart, Passion & Pursuit.
