A federal jury found a former State Representative guilty of 9 counts of wire fraud. The trial ended last Thursday. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 16, 2017.
According to evidence pre- sented at trial, Dwayne L. Tay- lor, 49, of Daytona Beach, ran for re-election in 2012 and 2014. During those campaigns, he falsely reported thousands of dollars of expenditures to the state in order to conceal his mis- appropriation of more than $60,000 in campaign funds.
Officials said Taylor used a series of unreported cash with- drawals, checks written to him- self, and checks written to petty cash. This was in violation of Florida law. He is accused of using the funds for personal ex- penditures that were unrelated to his re-election campaigns.

campaign contributions and ex- penditures must be reported to the State of Florida. The law stipulates that a candidate or his or her spouse may use funds de- posited in a campaign account to defray normal living expenses.
Taylor is facing a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison for each count.

A large crowd of fans were turned away from a free concert by rapper, XXXTentacion, real name, Jahseh Onfroy in Ybor City at the Orpheum Sat- urday night.
The Broward County rapper attracted a crowd that report- edly approached a few thousand.
Onfroy announced the free concert earlier this week via In- stagram and Twitter.
Fan videos showed a black BMW carrying the rapper pull up to the Orpheum before being swarmed by fans whose force broke a side mirror off the car.
According to Tampa police, the promoter canceled the show "based on the number of people that were showing up." Officers soon came to break up the crowd.
Fan videos and photos show dozens of Tampa officers, at some points standing in a line to block or move parts of the
crowd. At least one officer car- ried what appeared to be a less- than-lethal beanbag shotgun.
After the cancellation, On- froy posted a series of videos to Instagram in which he said: "Tampa, my deepest apologies, I drove all the way down here, I drove four hours just to basically have the show canceled on me. Apparently because it was over capacity, there was at least 3,000 to 4,000 of you outside, and . . . the venue only could support 750. As far as the new free show, I'm going to try to and get a free show going, but that was the only venue that wanted to work with me, but you just bear with me, I'm going to try to work this out. For now the show is canceled, not due to my choice, it was just the venue, and the fire marshal said we could not do the show, so the show is canceled, I apologies, my deep- estapologies."
